John did a fantastic job on my recent home renovation. His expertise and attention to detail are superb. He is also a wonderful person who knows how to soothe an inexperienced owner and crabby neighbors. This job required a great deal of coordination with designers, workmen, suppliers, inspectors, etc., and he handled this flawlessly. The inevitable delays and cost changes were exacerbated by COVID-19 but he did a good job of forecasting these changes and giving me advance notice of them. I am thrilled with the results of the project and attribute this entirely to John’s skill and dedication. You cannot go wrong by hiring him for your renovation or remodel.

Very organized. Great communication. Always on schedule. Billing is very clear. Excellent craftsmanship. Please bear in mind this was a yearlong million dollar renovation.

John and his crew were and continue to be awesome. The quality of the work was outstanding. We did a large project starting with a couple of bathroom remodels, but ultimately extended to entire house window and door replacement, vaulted ceilings, new floors, media room changes, and wall removal. John and the team covered it all - layout needs, ordering, recommendations, building, painting, HVAC, electrical - he handled it all. I especially appreciated John’s flexibility with scheduling needs, the ability to work with the designer, and structural engineer. He navigated all of it with a great demeanor and transparency on billing and timing. My previous remodels had “gotchas” that would come out of nowhere, but this time we didn’t have a single one. I also appreciate John’s patience with me and his continued follow through and support even after the job was all done. He has become a trusted resource that we will go to again for any future needs or projects we may have. To add, every day we are so pleased with the quality and attention to detail of the work done that it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. Thanks John!

John and his whole crew were a pleasure to work with. He presented a detailed plan/estimate/timeline which were followed very closely in the remodel of our kitchen. In addition to the kitchen we/they opened up a wall and thus created a large pass-through with stool seating on the far side with related lighting. Also, by widening an arch into a breakfast nook on the opposite side we were able to obtain a view from one side of the house through to the other and a view over the whole valley on one side and the Santa Cruz Mountains on the other. They were very respectful of our space over the 9 weeks of work; everything was taped off with plastic doors and when they were done there was not a speck of dirt. They even brought their own toilet and installed a sign on our gate advising all to "Keep Gate Closed at all times.). We ended up doing some extra work of replacing a fireplace and a couple of other things so it is difficult to sort that out in comparing the final bill with the estimate but it was very close. Johns crew also plays great music while they work.

John is the best contractor I have ever worked with. Our project was fairly large, a complete kitchen remodel. John was very good a predicting the project costs up front and kept everything updated by way of spreadsheet throughout the construction. He also keeps a spreadsheet of project phases, with each portion of the project and each subcontractor assigned specific times to be onsite to do their work. It's a point of pride with John to always have people working on the project every day, so he is insistent with his crew about completing work on time and schedule so the next crew can start on time. John is also a very creative problem solver. Several times he came up with good solutions to tough problems that eluded even the professionals working for him. He spent hours checking and rechecking a complicated tile order to make sure it had been ordered correctly, and was able to prevent several days of downtime by catching errors that others had made. This was typical of the attention to detail that John shows that keeps everything on track and on time. He works well with difficult suppliers, and knows how to get what he needs from them. He is meticulous about keeping the project site clean - in our case, the entire kitchen project area was sealed off in plastic with zippered doorways to prevent dust intrusion into the rest of the house. To top everything off, John is a genuinely likeable guy with a great sense of humor!

We had John remodel our kitchen, which had to be gutted. He was very experienced and knowledgeable about most everything that came up. His crew was clean and punctual. The project stayed on schedule and John went out of his way to be finished on time. He communicated well and we were always kept in the loup.

We engaged John for a relatively small renovation project. He was by far the most detail-oriented and organized of the three contractors we interviewed. He had great ideas throughout the process. His subcontractors were very professional. The project was on-time and on-budget.

I have hired John for two major remodeling jobs and I would hire him again, John is a extremely knowledgeable on all phases of construction and remodeling. He is a fabulous project manager and keeps a tight watch/control on all the subs and trades. He is singularly focused on providing the customer what she wants! There wasn't single design or construction issue that John wasn't able to provide multiple solutions for. He made sure his crew kept my home clean and tidy every single day. The project came in on budget and on schedule. It was a joy to work with John. He is the BEST!

Working with this contractor is seamless. His attention to detail and organization are impeccable. Meetings and communication are always flexible and he makes our input his top priority. We had an insurance flood incident and he worked not only with our insurance to get proper reconciliation but our designers and we were finished with the project in less than 3 months. John was our contractor on our recent kitchen/dining area remodel and we are more than satisfied. John came in on schedule and on budget. He was very easy to work with. John is very attentive to detail and helped us work through a number of design issues. Our job was not large in terms of square footage but was challenging in many aspects. Our house is not plumb and the floor isn't level. His people did such a good job in meeting these challenges.
