K-West gave us time, patience, creativity and detailed assistance. Ken & his assistant Corey listened and heard all the confusion and frustration of our situation, and, capably organized us to a great decision. We had many ideas from an architect from 2005 when we began trying to take care of our "fixer-upper". Part of our challenge was illness & a death in our family just as we began talking of how to approach our remodeling. Ken kept in touch. He was easy to work with as delays in decisions continued from February to November 2012. He took the architects ideas & adapted them into definite ideas to begin to solve our first challenge. We had a complicated & weak roof design at our front entry where water problems hadn't been solved for over 20 years. Ken was practical, creative & honest in his work with us. His personality blends well with everyone, it seems. He was able to coordinate with our chosen roofer & his team the tear out & construction of a new design that had solved our water problem, and, created the first step in a more welcoming entry design. In the middle of the tear out, his team realized the design we had decided upon would not solve the water problem. Ken arrived, we all talked & decided a new design was needed. Because K-West has intelligent, thinking carpenters this job was quickly changed, efficiently & quickly finished, so that the roofers could finish our roof the very next day... before the weather changed and before the weekend. We're looking forward to working with K-West on the next step, & the next... of the remodel & updating of our "fixer-upper"!
