As a long-standing Milwaukee resident and home remodeler, Lang Group Construction has extensive experience in rough and finished carpentry, and is capable of handling any size remodeling project.
Jon Lang founded Lang Group Construction in January of 2005. He felt there was clearly a need for a better line of communication between the contractor and the client. Lang Group Construction has very experienced carpenters on staff and keeps the client informed during every phase of the project. We pride ourselves on open communication, attention to detail and providing the quality of workmanship that our customers expect and deserve. Over the years we have created great relationships with our customers resulting in many referrals and testimonials on the quality of work and the great value received.
Because Lang Group has the utmost respect for the home owner and their property, they take great pride in keeping the job site clean at the end of each day. They are specialists in rough and finished carpentry and superior quality workmanship is an absolute must for Lang Group. As Jon Lang says,

Jon has helped us with several projects since we moved to the area 5 years ago. The house had dry rot in several windows, and we weren't ready to replace them. I called countless companies. None of them worked on old windows. They all wanted to replace them. Jon came in, fixed the dry rot, for a fraction of what it would have cost to replace, and my neighbors are asking when we replaced the windows. They can't believe these are the original windows.
Last year, Jon and his crew remodeled our entire first floor. Jon was very thorough with his estimate, and, minus the changes we made, and a couple of surprises we found behind the dry wall, was on budget. We are very pleased with the quality of the materials and craftsmanship. The crew was with us all summer. They were respectful of our family and careful with our belongings.
Jon is honest. He tells you what he thinks, even if it means he doesn't make as much. His work is excellent, and he stands behind it.

In fall of 2013 I hired Lang Group Construction to do a complete remodel of our kitchen. The work was extensive, including total removal of one wall and shortening of another to create an open concept kitchen-living room area. The end result is, in a word, breathtaking! Lang Group's owner (Jon) created a design that dramatically increased the functionality of the main floor and completely eliminated "wasted square footage" found in the original home layout. He also implemented a cabinet-type "locker system" in the entry off the garage to replace a traditional sliding closet which added storage and also provided easy access for coats, shoes and boots. The quality of work is outstanding, but I also greatly appreciated the way the entire project was conducted start to finish. Jon is a class act, very knowledgeable in the trade. His employees also were a real pleasure to work with - down to earth, trustworthy and hard working individuals. Since completion of that project, I have hired Jon to do additional projects, the most recent (Jan 2016) being full replacement of an 80s-style brick fireplace with an efficient gas fireplace that incorporates stunning real stone surround floor to ceiling. I fully anticipate doing other improvements in the future, and when I do, there is nobody else I will have do my work other than Lang Group Construction.

Jon and his crew were not only excellent in providing quality materials and workmanship, they were always on time, polite, clean and respectfully priced. They took 3 small rooms and turned them into one great living area by removing walls, adding archways with load bearing support and working with us and their cabinet designer for a complete kitchen makeover. We could not have been more satisfied! We still marvel at it every day and wonder how we could have ever lived in the space before. We get compliments consistently and have referred Jon and Lang Group Construction often.
