Pre-job communication was terrific (timely, clear, accurate, and all done via email which was very important for me). The job itself (window replacement) was small (half a day), but was still completed well and was immediately tested with several days of rain and I had no issues. Would highly recommend.

We hired Leighton Construction to build our second floor addition— which included a primary suite, along with a laundry room and office. We are so happy with the end result and highly recommend working with Wes and the team for any project big or small. The project was finished ahead of schedule and communication was excellent throughout the process. They use an app for project management which makes it easy to select finishes, pay installments, track progress, or just ask questions. During the build, Wes was at the house literally almost every day checking in on progress and making sure things were running smoothly. He always took the time to answer any questions we had, and let us know what to expect in the coming week. My wife and I have had the pleasure of working with Leighton Construction on two separate home improvement projects. The first when our home’s windows reached the end of their useful life. Wesley and his team estimated the cost of replacement for all the windows, and installing a sliding glass door. The work was completed on time and within the agreed budget, and we have been extremely satisfied with the results. Several years later we realized that our kitchen and bathroom needed remodeling, and we weren’t sure how to go about it. This would be a complicated and big project, as it required engaging with many different skilled workers (e.g. kitchen design, procurement, demolition, flooring, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting). Moreover, finding and scheduling such workers would alone be a daunting task. So we contacted Wesley with a list of desired renovations, and his team produced an estimate for this desired work, and a timeframe when work could begin. Leighton Construction then handled all the project complexity. In the end our outdated kitchen was transformed into an elegant, functional, and modern space that exceeded our expectations. Here are some key points that stood out during our collaboration: Engaging with project specialists: Wesley has a list of skilled sub-contractors he regularly works with on projects. Wesley knows that their work is of high quality, and his ongoing relationship with them means they are responsive to him. Clear Communication: Throughout the project, Wesley and Tim used the website Basecamp to manage documents (e.g. initial contract, change orders, purchasing decision, and messaging). This created an ongoing record of decisions we could refer back to when needed. Respectful and Professional: Wesley and his team were courteous and professional. Working with them was enjoyable and low stress. Value for Money: The flooring, cabinets, and vanity are high quality, and an excellent value. They are far better than those available at the chain stores. In conclusion, we wholeheartedly recommend Leighton Construction for anyone looking to remodel their home.

We hired Leighton Construction to complete a major addition to our home, and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. There are many reasons why we loved working with Wes and his team but I think the top reason is that he cares. Wes cares about quality--our project was a major investment into creating our forever home, Wes helped us select materials that would stand the test of time but also stay on budget. Wes cares about professionalism--each and every day our job site (our home) was left in a clean and safe manner. Wes cares about the schedule--our project was completed on-time, 6 months from start date in our case. This is incredible considering the scale of the project and the fact that other bidding contractors estimated that our project would take anywhere from 9 to 14 months. Looking back, there were just a handful of days where there wasn't at least one sub-contractor on the job. Wes did a masterful job of managing our schedule. What's more, Wes chooses team members and sub-contractors that maintain his high standards for quality and most are people he has been working with for years. We were extremely pleased with each professional that worked on our project. Wes is an excellent communicator--he always made himself available to us and was constantly on-site to make sure things were running smoothly. In fact, there were several weekend days where Wes would show up by himself to make sure the site was clean and ready for the next week. As is common with a project of our size, we occasionally hit unforeseen circumstances and budget over-runs. Each time, Wes presented our options clearly and with integrity. Finally, Wes and his team are organized--each aspect of our project was managed through an online, collaborative project management tool, which made allowance selections and document sharing a breeze.

Our family bought a new construction house from Leighton Construction last year and we are absolutely delighted! Surrounded by nature, they designed our house to have an exceptional exterior and quality interior, even to the tiniest details. They did not compromise in designing any inch of our house, including the kitchen shelves, the color of the bathroom wallpaper, and even the attic layout. The windows are arranged so that they take in sunlight just the right amount, and we can see the green outside our house. I have never seen any house with this much thought put into its design with a secure and sturdy structure all at the same time. Wesley is a phenomenal contractor, taking the maintenance of our house seriously after purchase and giving us excellent advice when needed. Even after a whole year, we are happy with everything about our house. Leighton Construction is the best!

We used Leighton Construction for a good-size project in early 2020. Wes and his team were incredibly efficient and fast while also doing a very nice job. We took out substantial load-bearing walls/stairway, gut renovated a bathroom, made other floor-plan changes, and had a number of smaller electrical projects performed throughout a 100+ year old house that had had a bunch of not-great work done on it in the past. Wes really helped us realize our vision for the space while also offering helpful suggestions. While we did end up going over budget in part due to expansion in scope on our side, we're very happy with the end results. Two things that were really remarkable to me were how responsive Wes was and how quickly he and his team worked. I really had very minimal experience with home renovations prior to this, and was generally worried about taking on such a complicated project with a lot of moving parts. But Wes was always extremely responsive to my communications (email, text, and phone), and the work was done on/ahead of schedule. He was patient and helped guide us through the process. Highly recommended!

I am a local kitchen designer and have been in the business for many years. I can't speak highly enough about Wesley and his team, they are a first-class operation. Wesley's attention to detail and the fact he cares so much about his clients makes working with him easy and a pleasure. Our project consisted of adding dormers to build 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, add a new staircase and open up the living room to a mezzanine leading to a new storage space. Wes conducted the project on time and on budget with amazing attention to details. We had very high design and esthetics expectations and they were met 100%. Wes clearly understood the vision we had and made sure we were entirely satisfied with the work provided by his team. He also brought new ideas to the project, especially when he found the opportunity to turn a dead space into a cute reading nook. We added a 3D wall in the living room which was very labor intensive and required perfect execution. The team worked on it until it was perfect and it turned into an amazing focus point to the room. It was a pleasure to work with Wes and his team and we could not be happier with the way the project turned out.

Leighton Construction did an excellent job on our siding/ window replacement project. They were detail oriented, professional, and did high quality work at a fair price. I couldn't be happier with the result or the process. I would hire them again without hesitation should we do additional remodeling in the future.

Leighton Construction did a beautiful job on our Renaissance Conservatory Garden Window installation, associated clapboard re-configuration, other clapboard and window repairs, and entire house painting. Wesley did a wonderful job of managing, scheduling, and execution of all aspects of the multi-step job. He is pleasant to work with, has excellent communication on the details of the materials and work schedule, and stays close to monitor the work being done by his various crews. We are very pleased with all aspects of the work done, including the time frame in which it was completed and will definitely use them again.
