About Us

Leonardo Contracting LLC is a handyman / home repair service serving the Manalapan, NJ area since 1995. Leonardo Contracting was established by Don Leonardo in Staten Island, NY 1995. Starting out as primarily as an exterior contractor, we did mainly framing, roofing and siding (exterior trades). Slowly over the years, we began to take on more trades. In 2001, we began full renovation projects. Since then, we have been moving into the second generation. Being a family business, Don’s oldest son, Stephen has now followed in his father’s footsteps. Together, Leonardo Contracting offers all different types of home renovation capabilities. I’m May I had a flood, which completely gutted my first floor. I quoted 4 other contractors but did not feel drawn to any one, then I contacted Leonardo contracting and I’m so happy I did! Every step of the way Stephen and his crew took care of my house and all the necessary work seamlessly. Even with hiccups along the way that come with an older home, Stephen and his crew knew what to do, or what to do next. I could not be more happy with all the work that they did!!! Definitely experts and treat you like family on top of it! You will be utterly impressed with how clean they are too throughout the process!!!!

This team did an amazing job. I had a ceiling in a 35 year old house about to collapse and Leonardo Contracting came in and did the job - they moved all the furniture out of the way, removed the damaged ceiling, replaced it with a new one, painted the ceiling and the walls and put all the furniture back and cleaned up to perfection. I highly recommend them for any construction jobs.

I have to admit I panicked a bit when I realized we had a leak and I was not sure where it was coming from. I was picturing a flooded attic, mold, the whole works. Steven responded immediately, came right over and went above and beyond to determine if we had any water in our barely accessible attic. He was calming, professional and thorough. Fortunately, the issue was nowhere as big as I had feared, and he was honest enough to resolve the problem efficiently and economically. There are few companies as responsive and ethical as Leonardo Contracting, I will be using them for all my future needs and recommend them highly for all your contracting needs as well.

Leonardo Contracting did woodwork in my home. They installed wainscoting in the living and dining rooms, along with molding in the den and a focal wall design in the master bedroom. I could not be more pleased with the work and have received numerous compliments. The workers were efficient and completed the job in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and I would definitely use them again for future projects.

Leonardo contracting has completed multiple projects at our house. A few years ago they replaced our roof. They were very professional and courteous. When it came time for our next project, we hired Leonardo Contracting to replace the siding on the exterior of our house. Again top notch service. We decided to have them refinish a room in our house that had water damage from a ruptured pipe and they certainly did not disappoint. My wife and I highly recommend Leonardo Contracting for any project that you may be considering on your home.
