My wife and I purchased a house built in 1978 when we moved to Merritt Island. We knew that the garage had to be repaired because the previous owner had cut the trusses holding up the roof to make a bedroom out of 1/3 of it. I called Brevard county Building department for references. They gave me several. Macik was among them. Some that I contacted also referred me to Jeff Macik. We contacted Macik and was impressed with the knowledge and honesty of Jeff and his son, Joe, who own and run the business. We also decided that the old very poorly constructed closed in “porch” had to go because we had hurricane damage and roof leaks in it. Jeff and Joe were very patient with my wife and I while going through the process to get a major project (complete new bedroom and bath addition along with total garage repair) to contract that was acceptable to all. We did not know how good our decision was to use them until the construction started. They were great. V

We highly recommend Macik Builders LLC. We recently completed a whole kitchen remodel on our 2-story house which included removing a load bearing wall, re-routing and updating plumbing and electrical lines, along with new cabinets, countertops, backsplash, lighting, flooring, painting, and appliances. In addition to the kitchen, we had our pantry, dinette area, and laundry room redone, and installed 2 impact rated windows upstairs (one which had been a balcony double door so the exterior wall had to be built up). All this was done while Covid-19 plagued the area. Jeff, Joni, and Joe Macik spent hours with us nailing down the details, answering questions, making changes and suggestions as needed. I can’t say enough about their thoroughness and attention to detail. Their crew of workers from demo to the finish-out were all friendly and professional, and always left the worksite neat and clean. We couldn’t have asked for a better remodel experience. We love our new spaces.

I've known the Macik family for about 30 years, and can first hand tell you that they treat your home as if it were their own. Jeff will never do a project just to spend your money, in fact I had wanted all new counter tops and back splash in my kitchen just because I was tired of the browns. He suggested to make the island pop with a different quartz color and paint the kitchen a different color. It turned out beautiful. They also installed a larger kitchen sink and faucet as well as Bosch dishwasher and drop in gas top. He saved me thousands of dollars simply by changing just a few things, and we have already contracted him for another project in the house.

Our new porch turned out even better than I could imagine. We are definitely outdoor people and this porch kept our beautiful water and golf view but allowed us to use it in any type of weather. Jeff equipped it with out of sight retractable screens, ceiling mounted heaters, hurricane shutters and even mounted the television. It is both functional and beautiful. Thank you Jeff and Joni for a great building experience.

Extensive kitchen remodel was done plus all new flooring throughout the house of about 3000 square feet. Macik Builders did an excellent job giving professional recommendations along the way. Jeff and Joni were personable and always easy to approach with whatever the issue was. The job was complete in 2 months with clean up time. The workers were in and out daily in a timely manner which allowed my family to continue to flow through the house without conflict. In this case we are very pleased with the job performed and it was worth the cost to have excellent quality and peace of mind.

Our remodel job was extensive, exterior and interior. Took 6 months. The structural portions of this job, window/door replacements, floors and ceilings were all done well. Even half way into the project, they were easy to work with, make changes/additions. Having said that, should you hire this contractor, get a break down of EVERY expense. I strongly suggest you hire professionals to do any electrical, plumbing, painting, appliance install, or cabinet work that needs to be done. The level of pride taken in the work provided should have been consistent throughout. Due to how shoddy some of the work was the last few months of this job, it was not an option to have this contractor return to correct the problems. Other professionals had to be called in to provide those corrections. Macik was given an opportunity to rectify this business relationship but chose not to reply.

There were several aspects of my renovation - floors, kitchen update, door replacement and adding a wall. Jeff Macik was very knowledgeable of the work needed to be done, spent time helping me to choose materials and worked to get the best pricing. He was able to suggest improvements while the work was being done. He also went above and beyond making sure that the house was professionally cleaned when it was done. That was very thoughtful!
