Mancuso Homes

I started the process with Mancuso Homes November 2023 and by mid-February 2025 (3 weeks ahead of schedule courtesy of my amazing Project Manager Luke), I was in my fully renovated home. The Mancuso team was great the whole way through the project. From working with the sales team to scope the project, the design team (Liz primarily), and Luke’s project management, you can tell Mancuso cares about who they hire. During the project I added 970 square feet to my house which is a split level, built in the 60s, and located in Rocky River. The original home had a chimney in the middle taking up important living space between the kitchen and the family room. The home was also missing a primary bedroom suite with a full bath. With the exception of one bathroom, the home went the whole way down to studs. I had MH remove the chimney and put in additions to the front and back of the home and added a floor for the primary suite complete with bathroom. We only had one setback early on with the architect on the project (Arcus group - I would not recommend), Luke managed through the updates expertly ultimately giving me more than I thought I was going to get. The architects missed the staircase placement which required my upper laundry room to need to be relocated. During the ~8 months of construction I only visited the site around 10 times because I was living further away and, really, I didn’t feel like I needed to because Luke was such a great communicator. We spoke every week for a check in call and regularly texted with updates or adhoc questions. Luke also put daily logs into BuilderTrend with picture updates from the project. I have ZERO design eye so right before the project started, I decided to hire an interior designer (Ducy Designs) to help connect the build with Liz’s vision, to furnishings. I connected Ducy Designs with Liz and both teams worked together so well to make everything come together. I’m beyond thrilled with the results of the project and I’m so happy to be living in my dream home. This was such a great experience and I would recommend trusting Mancuso to give you your dream home too.

Mancuso helped us renovate our kitchen, 1/2 bath, and mudroom. They made the planning process as easy and stress free as possible and picked up on our vision right away. The small issues that arose during construction were taken care of quickly and professionally. Their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond showed. Especially during demolition where they were extra caution to limit dust and debris and protect our existing floors. I would highly recommend them for any large scale remodeling.

Our review is purely from the renovation side of Mancuso Homes(Formerly Relief Properties). We did not utilize their real estate services. Our experience with MH was not what we were hoping for. We had several issues with water infiltrating our home during our home addition project and the contractor did not offer support with cleanup, such as pulling up carpet, providing fans, or dehumidifiers. Some of these water infiltrations could have been avoided with proper project oversight. We also had issues with the project manager not checking work completed, lacked attention to detail, lacked making sure appropriate materials were being utilized by the sub contractors and neglected reviewing sub contractors work before moving forward to the next step. There were many delays due to the management of the project being reactive rather than proactive. Beyond these issues, there was poor guidance and direction provided to the sub contractors, causing us to have provide direction when they arrived or work needing to redone/corrected. This poor project management caused delays and contributed to our 6 month project becoming 14 months. Other grievances were frequent employee turnover and no handoff communication, and the contractor not being respectful to neighbors property and using it for material delivery without permission and as a result damaging their yard. We were also not satisfied that the contractor took 4 months to repair damage to neighbors yard. Because of these reasons and several others we would not recommend Mancuso Homes for a home renovation project. I would encourage anyone who is considering MH for their home remodeling needs to try to find unsolicited reviews prior to committing to them.

The short version: If you live in or near Cleveland and are looking to renovate your home, look no further than Relief Properties. Full stop. The details: My husband and I worked with Relief to renovate our 100-year-old home from top to bottom (including electrical, plumbing, and adding a third-floor addition), and we are thrilled with the result. We worked primarily with our absolutely awesome project manager, Anthony, and Relief's talented, thoughtful designers, Kate and Ashley. We also communicated regularly with Darren throughout the process. All along the way, the Relief team worked tirelessly to make our vision come to life, and in doing so, they were creative, transparent, honest, fair, timely, and communicative. Their work is top quality across the board -- from the project management to the design suggestions to the custom millwork, Relief strives for perfection and comes quite close to achieving it. They truly go above and beyond, and Anthony in particular ensured a seamless, enjoyable process. With that, I extend my sincerest appreciation to our team at Relief, and I wholeheartedly recommend their services.

We live in a community of mostly older century homes. While they are beautiful, solid homes, they often lack the open concept design we wanted. We have been following Relief Properties transform many of these homes into stunning, updated properties (while still maintaining their original character) so when it came time time for our renovation, we knew the team we wanted. Our project consisted of a complete kitchen renovation, including a chimney and wall removal, that allowed us to join our dining room and kitchen into one open space. From the beginning design services throughout final construction, we couldn’t have been more pleased. Kate’s design layout offered the family-functional area that we wanted with three separate gathering areas including an island, a peninsula and an adjoining dining area to create our family’s “hub”; A truly livable space. During the construction phase, Moses, Ben and the team were timely, professional and attentive to the needs of the project. Ben’s commitment to detail and quality of work is second to none. Kate’s impeccable taste in finishes gave it the modern feel, perfectly blended with the old charm, and the end result is nothing short of amazing. This is the team you want.

My family relocated to the Cleveland area 5 years ago and struggled to find a house. We were exhausted and about to give up when we met Darren. We walked through one of Relief Properties recent renovations and within 10 minutes knew it was our home! We purchased it and lived there for 4 years. It was an amazing home, beautifully renovated with high end finishes. As we expanded our family we needed a larger home but I hated the idea of selling this house that we loved so much. We decided to have Relief Properties renovate a home custom to us, to fit our families needs. We purchased a complete fixer-upper, which I was anxious about... I shouldn't have been! Relief Properties guided us through every step of the process, helping with all the details, from permits to deign and everything in between. And their Project Manager, Doug, was outstanding! The guy always answers his phone, no matter the day or time! That kind of customer service is hard to come by these days. I can go on and on about how much I love Relief Properties but I will spare you :) If you are considering purchasing a renovated home or going through the renovation process yourself this is the company to hire!!!

Relief Properties is simply amazing. I recently purchased a house from them that they completely gutted and turned every square inch into perfection. I am very particular and they picked fantastic finishes and certainly did not skimp on quality being that it was a flip. I would recommend this company to anyone including my friends and family. I have had the privilege of living in one of Relief Properties homes for the past 3 years and couldn't be happier! This company is head and shoulders above the rest with their attention to detail and exceptional customer service. They have captured the unique ability to create today's dream home with all of the character, charm, and original beauty of yesterday. I had a really wonderful experience with this company from timing, to quality of work and responsiveness. They took the time to follow up and make sure we were happy with our home. I would highly recommend this organization for any home remodeling project or complete build! Our home was built in 1896 and in dire need of just about everything. Relief properties took it down to the studs and built a beautiful home for us while leaving in tact some of the gorgeous architectural details that are so important to a home this age. The communication among the many people that it took to get this home completed was excellent. We were instantly impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail by all involved.
