This is a small town (10,000 people in the town) and there are not a lot of craftspeople from which to chose. We were really happy with the results from Mark Bighley Construction. We first contracted with Mark to build a deck for our back yard. He consistently did what he said he would do and he did it extremely well. He showed up on time and ready to work and each day the site was cleaned up and ready for the next day's work. He is one of the most intense people I have known. The project when finished exceed my expectations. When we decided on a major kitche overhaul, we immediately considered Mark but out of an abundance of caution, we had a couple of other people look at the job. Mark's prices were rational and economical. Since we knew him to be reliable, we asked him to do the kitchen. My wife loved the fact that everyday he would clean up so we could continue living in the house. A great contractor like Mark Bighley is a better investment than a divorce lawyer. One of the things I liked is that Mark's wife, Rachel, is an intergal part of the business and she is very helpful when Mark is on the job. I can only say that doing business with these two people has been one of the most positive working situations we have encountered in almost 50 years of marriage and home owning and home construction. I have given Mark permission to bring people over to see the deck so they can have idea of the quality of his work.

I would have no problem recommending Mark for any project. Everything he does is top quality. He installed a metal roof for me. There was one tiny leak and he was back on the roof within 2 days to repair it. It is sometimes hard getting a contractor to deal with warranty work. Mark is the exception to that. A real pleasure to work with him. A true professional and I trust him totally.

Mark built our custom home. We had lots of challenging things we wanted--differently colored sections of flooring, oddly shaped walls in places, lots of pocket doors and a variety of preferences for paint colors on walls and ceilings for one room or another. Mark got it all done well, despite difficulties with some vendors not being there when they were supposed to. He was always responsive to our requests and fixed up any items we found to be out of whack--which were few. He's honest as the day is long and on time. Where costs exceeded estimates that resulted from changes in materials we requested or other things beyond his control.

Mark is a professional builder we would hire again. His work was more than satisfactory and we are still enjoying the results of his innovation and attention to detail five years later. Mark was easy to work with and always listened and offered advice when asked. I would highly recommend him.
