We are a Custom Home Builder, which means we design and build your house specifically for you. We encourage our customers full involvement in the home building process and we want your style and personality to show through in your home. We believe a well built home can provide a lifetime of happiness and comfort. Therefore, we use time tested practices as well as newest advancements in technology to create the highest quality and most energy efficient homes possible. We specialize in the design and construction of Lake homes, but we have built homes in all shapes and sizes. We want to build the home that meets your needs and expresses your own personal style. Owned and operated by father/son combination, Marcus and Zack Melton, Melton Builders is rooted in family and tradition. The company was founded in 1952 when Dean Melton, a master carpenter, began building custom homes in Navarro County. Soon his two sons, Marcus and Dennis, joined the family business and together they formed Dean Melton and Sons Construction. They built many homes in and around Corsicana. Dean's dedication to quality was well known around the community, as was his penchant for returning entire loads of lumber if it did not measure up to his quality standards. In 1992 Dean retired, leaving Dennis and Marcus to oversee daily operations of the business, which they renamed Generation II Home Builders. Before long, they began building homes on Richland Chambers Lake, Cedar Creek Lake, in Waxahachie, Ennis, Fairfield, Hillsboro and everywhere in between. In 2012, Dennis retired and Marcus and his son, Zack, continued in home building endeavors. As a third generation company, the business is now known as Melton Builders. The dedication to quality that was instilled by Dean so many years ago is as important now as it was then.
