Metropolitan Design+Development

We have lived in a home built by this company for a little over a year and I would not recommend going into business with them. We have had to spend $10,000+ to fix/correct things they messed up, but ultimately, they did not fully pay their taxes, and as a result, we were stuck covering their tax bill. We pursued sued them to collect, but they never responded. As a result, we have a pending collection against them. Would highly recommend not going into business with this company.

We were introduced to Matt Fenik and Metropolitan after discovering his project on Baum Street back in the winter of 2013. After we met Matt at the construction site of one of the homes under construction we came away very energized to get started on our very own new, contemporary home overlooking the city and river. We were also very excited to learn Matt had worked with the late Hans Nuetzel, chief architect of the project. Now that we've moved in I can say we are extremely thrilled with the end result of the design and building process with Metropolitan. Matt's attention to design detail and commitment to excellence is evident throughout the home--all of his sub-contractors were excellent. When we asked for additional customized features Matt was agile and helped us make beautiful as well as well-informed functional choices. He has a good eye for design and his experience was a huge asset. On top of all of this, the home will receive a Leed SilverCertification. I would highly recommend Matt Fenik and Metropolitan for any new home construction project.
