What started out as a bathroom remodel became an entire, both inside and out project. As we worked on the project, Dave, Krystal and Matt provided good sound advice, and most importantly provided ideas that made the project a success. Everyone on the Mountainwood team was courteous, professional, and diligent in their respective fields. All of the subcontractors and suppliers, specifically, heating, plumbing, electrical,insulation flooring and countertops did a beautiful job. My thirty-five year old home looks like new inside and out, and the new mechanical systems will keep the house functional and more energy efficient for years. I have engaged Mountainwood Construction for a variety of projects, of all sizes, for nearly 10 years. The largest undertaking was to carve a master bathroom and walk-in closet out of a very small bathroom and a portion of the master bedroom. The project included demolishing the existing bathroom, removing a window and framing out a new wall. The end result is a beautiful bathroom with a large walk-in shower and a large closet with plenty of shelving, customized to my needs. Dave is a perfectionist and requires the same from the various trades he engages in his projects. No detail is too small - he makes sure that every job is completed to his demanding standards. I highly recommend Dave for projects large and small.

My partner and I have been renovating homes in San Francisco and Los Angeles for 13 years. When we purchased a 2400 square foot townhome in Sun Valley, our realtor recommended Dave Wood & Mountainwood Construction. After reviewing several bids, we were impressed with Dave's professionalism, portfolio of previous work, and easy going demeanor. Even more impressive was the detailed bid he put together to transform our circa 1980's townhome into a transitional modern retreat. Dave and his team began work in June and were able to wrap the project by October. Included in his services were complete renovation of kitchen, 3 & 1/2 bathrooms, new floors, skim coat to textured walls, reworking of electrical, and refinish of deck - to name just a few. At every step, Dave had top tier subcontractors, design recommendations and a "can do" attitude. Our townhome came in on budget, and we couldn't be happier with the end result. We've worked with more than our share of contractors over the years, and Dave is certainly one of the very best. We had such a good experience, we're now engaged with Dave on two additional projects. Dave Wood and his team did an amazing job on our remodel. We had three bathrooms that needed updating, our master (plus walk in closet), the kids' bathroom and our powder room. Dave was wonderful to work with from the very beginning, helping us to plan the project, working well with our architect, helping us to select materials and being flexible as we made changes along the way. He made us feel comfortable and relaxed through the whole project, his input was invaluable, and our project came in on budget and on schedule. We couldn't recommend his work highly enough!

Excellent crew is personable and helpful, never intrusive. Quality of work is outstanding. Responds to messages, arrives on time, and executes work as promised. Dave helped us through some unanticipated major repairs most professionally. Trustworthy, manages crew effectively. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Highly recommend.
