NIMA CONSTRUCTION

I purchased a home from this builder with a one-year warranty, and for the past six months I’ve been trying to get them to fix a defective driveway gate caused by faulty electrical wiring. Getting anyone to respond has been extremely difficult. Calls and messages go unanswered, and despite repeatedly requesting service, there has been zero resolution. My warranty is now about to expire, and the issue remains unresolved. At this point, it feels like they’re simply waiting for the warranty period to run out instead of honoring their obligations. I hope that’s not the case, but after six months of trying to get a response, that’s certainly how it appears. If you’re considering buying from this builder, don’t just look at the quality of the home—consider how they treat customers after closing. A warranty is only as good as the company’s willingness to stand behind it, and unfortunately that has not been my experience.

Nima is outstanding. He is clear and precise with his planning and execution, he takes budget and timeline seriously, he is a great communicator, and he's an unflappable problem solver. On top of it all, he's a nice guy and great to work with. Karen, his project manager, has all of these same attributes and is wonderful. Not only would we work with him again, we suspect we can ONLY work with him for future projects because we doubt other contractors could match him.

I first met Nima as the contractor on an Oakland flip for a client of mine. I was concurrently working on the planning process for remodeling the home that my partner and I had purchased to be our lifetime dream home and had spoken to 13 other contractors about doing the job. Seeing first-hand that Nima was a rare contractor who could do a project on time and on budget, after getting 4 bids we selected him for our home. It was a full gut that started on the day shelter in place went into effect in March 2020. Nima and his crew did a great job and he had us back in by Christmas and within budget, despite all of the constraints of the times. And the final product is fabulous! Nima really cares about his clients and stands by his work. He was very thoughtful, both about us as people and about suggesting things we should consider to get the best results. I'd highly recommend Nima to anyone looking for a contractor.

As an architect, working with Nima and his crew was a great experience. From the start, Nima was very responsive and put together a thorough estimate. He also had great suggestions on how to save cost without forfeiting the design. He really helped the clients understand the process before construction started. During construction, Nima and his crew were very professional. If any issues arose, they were quick to ask for clarification before proceeding. They made sure things were done correctly and at the highest quality. We used a lot of high-end fixtures and finishes and all were installed perfectly. The final project is beautiful was a successful team effort. I look forward to working with Nima Construction in the future!

Nima completed a major project for me, building an elevated parking pad that involved substantial construction, drainage and cement work. He was precise and professional with every aspect of the project from the estimate to completion. Communication was excellent - Nima provides access to a system that tracks the stages of the project, progress, cost and any add ons. Everything is in one place. Invoices can be paid on line. Nima was always willing to take the time to explain the project in person or by email. The work progressed quickly and in an orderly fashion. Nima and crew were careful to ensure that our neighbors were not overly inconvenienced and communicated well anytime that the street would be blocked. I would use Nima again for any project and highly recommend him!

I have been working with Nima on many projects over the years. He is smart, a problem solver and a go getter when it comes to building projects. He also provides great design input and we often joke whether he should do design-build. When doing a project we come across many challenges during construction and it is the good contractors that are able to work through them with creative solutions. Nima is one of those contractors. He has done great quality work and has been a pleasure to work with!

Nima and his team are awesome! I have done several large -- gut renovation -- and small -- a/c and fireplace installations, etc. and they have been terrific! Very responsive, responsible, accurate re estimates, pragmatic, generally on time in completing projects and has a great eye for design details. He has come back to fix items several months if not years after a project -- there is no substitute for a super responsible contractor who takes pride in and stands behind his or her work. I will work with Nima again in future no question!

I had the privilege to work with a wonderful client who was doing a remodel for the first time in San Francisco. They wanted to interview several contractors for the year long project. After interviewing a number of contractors, we were sold on Nima's presentation and his professionalism. We used Nima to remodel our Kitchen and master Bathroom and couldn't be more happy with the results. Our old fashion SF floor-plan with small confined rooms and a galley kitchen were transformed into a modern open space, and the pink tiled bathroom was stripped and updated with spa-like attributes. Nima's professionalism, attention to detail, and great continuous communication throughout the project made a pleasant experience out of what can be a challenging time. We hired Nima to renovate the downstairs of our mid-century home. The entire downstairs was gutted, installed new electrical, plumbing, and heating, built new walls, built a laundry area, built new closets, and remodeled the bathroom, all according to architectural drawings. The project would have been on time and on budget but we had several change orders (at our request) and there was a delay with several bathroom fixtures (also our responsibility, not Nima's) which delayed the project. In fact, they were ahead of schedule so we would have finished early had it not been for the bathroom fixture delay. Nima and his team were very easy to work with. Minor changes during the construction (like add/move electrical outlets, move a row of recessed lights) were done as part of the build and larger change orders were all reasonably priced. There were, of course, a few surprises as there are in any construction project but they were all dealt with effectively and satisfactorily. Communication was easy. He was readily available via phone, text, and email and he always responded promptly. We are very happy with the result and I would definitely hire Nima again for another project.
