I invite anyone to visit this project and see the workmanship. This project was the rebuild of a severely burned garage. It was rebuilt exactly as requested by the owner. The only material changed out was cedar siding replaced with pine exterior siding due to material shortage. The total cost difference was about $75 which after discussion with the owner we promptly refunded. The failed inspection was due to an additional ground rod requested by the building department. My interaction was entirely with the wife of the couple, the husband was never there and did not discuss any of these issues with me before posting the review, his lack of communication is the only issue at stake here. We at Overlord always respond to customer issues and do not appreciate being ambushed like this without any communications before posting this.
In addition we added additional rows of reinforced block, giving them a much higher ceiling in the garage at no cost, trusses at 16" on center in lieu of 24" on center as original was. full 1/2" sheathing instead of 7/16". Additional Cedar trim on the rear of the garage, etc.
The original contract had us running new wire in existing conduit from the house. We trenched and laid in new conduit since existing could not be used, owner (husband) refused to pay for the new conduit even though we discussed with the wife prior to the install. In closing I am disturbed by the fact the Owners husband did not or make any attempt to discuss these issues with me before posting. We remedied all issues we could as soon as they were brought up. There were about 5 items we could not remedy due to winter weather at the time.
