At Rau Construction, we understand that hiring a contractor is a significant decision, and requires a careful process. That’s the way it should be. In working with us, you can be assured of several things. First, we are licensed, bonded and insured in the state of Washington- please never proceed with anything less than that! Next, the owner/operator, Kevin Rau, does a lot of the actual work himself, keeping a close eye on his employees and sub-contractors. Also, we stand by a One Year Workmanship Guarantee. That’s assurance. Kevin and his wife LaDawn act as the owner/operator of Rau Construction. They met and were married while serving in the Army. After military service, Kevin began his work in construction as a journey carpenter for Absolute Construction, owned by his father-in-law Frank Mester. While working for Absolute Construction, Kevin learned how to build and manage a wide range of projects from the ground up. He learned how to do everything from simple repairs and remodels to custom additions and new homes. The goal was to learn every aspect of construction so Kevin could do the work on any project from start to finish. In 2004, they opened Rau Construction for business.
