I couldn't have asked for a more professional team to carry out renovation on my shower & fire place. I am very pleased with the great results that are due to high quality workmanship. I highly recommend the team.

If you have a simple, single room job and no specific time frame then they may be your guys. For large scale renovations where you need to be back in your home you're better off with a contractor that has his own crews and can make the project a full time effort.

Steve helped us through major renovations while we lived at home with two dogs, a toddler and our second baby on the way. He was incredibly professional and reliable and our home transformation was beautiful! I would absolutely work with him and his team again! Katie

We decided it was time to embark on a kitchen remodel to fix the terrible layout and flow our current kitchen had. We called and got estimates from a few different local companies all of which gave us estimates of $85-120,000, well over our $50,000 budget. I stumbled on Steve here on Houzz and gave him a call. We really liked his business model and felt like he was the perfect person to work with to complete this project. From the beginning he was so easy to work with and that continued throughout the process. We opted for being our own contractor and also wanted to do some of the work ourselves. If we had a problem or concern he was a phone call away. The trades were all fantastic, I can't say enough positive things about them either! Very professional, very friendly and did great work. The project came out beautifully, on time and on budget. Beyond thrilled with our new kitchen and will most definitely be working with Steve on finishing our basement in a few years! Steve was a pleasure to work with. He has a wealth of experience in the field and freeing shared very valuable tips. He listened to all of our thoughts and ideas and thoroughly incorporated them into his design. Although we completed the renovation ourselves his consultations were creative and encouraging and the estimates were accurate. I would recommend his services highly.

Once my husband and I decided to tackle a kitchen remodel, the frustration began. We contacted and received a handful of estimates from local contractors only to find out that, based on our budget, a kitchen remodel was out of the question. UNTIL I found Steve Suchy and his company, Rennovative Resources, on Houzz. Steve was prompt in returning my call and the first meeting was scheduled. We immediately felt at ease with Steve's friendliness and confidence. He explained his concept of being an educator in the remodel process and explained how he could do as little or as much of the project, and would charge for services accordingly. Since both my husband and I are DIYers, we were quickly hooked on this concept. Steve listened carefully to what we wanted and then shortly came back with an estimate based upon the scope of what we wanted his help with. We were blown away with how much we would save with me being general contractor under his guidance. He was hired!Steve drew up 3 different kitchen designs. After finalizing the design we liked, he set up a meeting at our house with his sub contractors. He then constructed a timeline, solidified the budget, and provided a wealth of information for me to follow. He was also fine with me using my own subs for parts of the project. Best of all he was just a phone call away for any questions that arose.I went a bit over his budget, only because I chose a couple more expensive upgrades, but still well thousands below original bids we had received. I am a designer that has worked with Steve for almost a year. During that time he has referred clients to me to help in the selection of materials such as tile, flooring and counter surfaces. We found Steve and Renovative Resource via Houzz for his unique business model about helping and empowering DIYers. We bought the house knowing a kitchen remodel was necessary and thought we were up for the challenge having just finished and sold a lightly remodeled home. Trying to plan the project was a daunting task and where we started looking for help. Steve fit the bill perfectly, as engineers and reasonably experienced DIYers we were quite capable and willing to tackle a majority of the tasks but didn't know what all was required and in what order. Steve was exceptional in helping fill that void for us, his experience managing these projects and trade knowledge was crucial in making sure we were on the right track and on schedule (especially with long lead items). He provided accurate unbiased expectations for what specific portions of the project should cost (demo, drywall, tile, plumbing, hvac, etc) which not only helped weed out gouging contractors but allow us to decide what projects were worth paying for or tackling ourselves. Speaking of contractors, we found in nearly every case Steve's contacts in the various trades were not only price effective but yielded excellent results we were happy with (and yes we did quote out the competitors). Additionally being DIYers we wanted to tweak and customize certain aspects of our design and Steve was very supportive and encouraging providing experienced advice and input. We’re very happy with our consultant contractor and I would definitely recommend Steve for any remodeling project

We found Steve on Houzz.com after we had met with another local company whose quote on our kitchen remodel was far beyond our budget. We were looking for someone who could help us possibly design our kitchen remodel, help us plan a budget and scope of work, and connect us with local subs. Steve was able to provide exactly the type of guidance we needed, and he was a wonderful resource for us. His model is quite unique and perfect for those wishing to do some of the work themselves but lacking in experience to actually plan the project out in advance. We loved how we could pick and choose what we needed help with, and his price is very reasonable. He was professional and prompt in responding to emails/calls and working around our schedule. If you are planning any kind of remodel project and need either a lot or a little guidance, Steve is the perfect man for the job.

We hired Steve to redesign our existing living space on the main level of our home. We made a list of 10 objectives that was our wish list for this project. Steve accomplished all of our objectives and also gave us a plan we were very pleased with. Steve was always prompt with appointments and worked with our schedules which were not always ideal. Steve organized a basement development for us in our rental property. The schedule was well put together and all of the trades that he used were very professional. It is great having someone oversee the project for you but allows you to make the decisions on it and be the contractor. The house was occupied at the time all of this was going on and the tenants were very happy with the Steve's abilities as well.
