Rod is an exceptional builder with a very high attention to detail. His experience was invaluable throughout the entire process particularly during the planning stages where he listened to our vision and connected us with Hugh Taylor, the architect for our project. We worked with them to design a home that is beautiful, comfortable, functional and energy efficient. Rod and his team executed on this vision and delivered a home that exceeded our very high expectations. Rod's 35 years of experience has given him the knowledge of what works and what doesn't in the Haliburton environment. He quickly assessed the challenges presented by our building site and leveraged his network of local sub trades to ensure that the lot was serviced and the home functions efficiently year round. Rod has a reputation for being expensive compared to other local builders because he builds large expensive homes, however we found him to provide tremendous value by delivering a high level of quality at a reasonable price. Rod stands behind all his work and quickly resolved any issues that arose during and after the build. We continue to rely on Rod's Aftercare service that ensures our driveway is plowed and the home is maintained. We have been living in the home for 4 years now and it still feels and looks like it is brand new.

Rod and all of his trades did a fabulous job on two additions and landscaping at our cottage. They were on time and on budget. Rod offered wonderful ideas and expertise as we navigated our new new additions. I would highly recommend Rodco.

We worked closely with the entire Rodco Enterprise Team to build our dream cottage, which has exceeded our family’s expectations. After a few years of looking for a contractor I hired Rodco to build my dream cottage. The process went smoothly and the result is beautiful, I would do it again in heartbeat. I am a 3 1/2 hour drive from the build and it was very important to me to secure a builder who understands detail and can work within budget. From foundation to finishing Rodco's work is excellent. The trades showed up when they were scheduled and completed their work in a timely manner. Through out the process they were very reachable and responsive. The invoicing was organized and transparent. As an added value Rodco provides service and support with general maintenance after completion. Two thumbs up!

Rodco came recommended by a very close friend and business colleague. The project was a very large/long and complicated build. We could not be more happy with the end result. Project came in very close to budget/estimate, a large portion was a fixed price, the overages our doing as the project evolved.Completion time was line was at the longer end of estimate & worth the extra wait. Rod & Irene are the brother/sister duo behind the build. We have owned the cottage now six years after completion and have seen a few usual issues and one unusual, all were addressed in exceptional fashion. They provide aftercare & maintenance which we would highly recommend.

Our experience with Rodco was excellent from the start. We initially asked that they evaluate renovating an existing cottage. Rod Thurston gave a detailed estimate of the project which confirmed our own feeling that renovation was not practical . We decided to contract Rodco to demolish the old building and construct a new one on the site. Although our building was a lot smaller than Rodco's normal projects, Rod spent several months with us developing a plan for the cottage. He understood our concepts and made valuable suggestions to achieve exactly what we wanted, while remaining within our budget. Rod's team were wonderful and their workmanship was the highest quality. The project was completed on schedule and within budget, in fact on several occasions Rod found ways to provide higher quality materials than originally specified. The completed building is a joy to see and wonderful to live in. We hope that Rod is as proud of it as we are and we are happy for him to show it to anyone who is considering using Rodco's services.

Rodco Enterprise were responsible for the project management and construction, including building permit drawings and application, for the construction of our cottage property on a lake in the Haliburton Highlands region. Rodco was involved in the entire process, from land preparation through to finished trim carpentry. With an already proven legacy of high quality traditional architectural homes, they had a keen understanding and enthusiasm for the modern design intent of our project. There was constant communication throughout all phases of construction and their dedicated staff are quite excellent at promptly responding to any questions or issues that came up during the process. Given the remoteness of the cottage from our home, it was critical to hire a responsible, talented team to construct our home, monitor the entire process and, essentially, serve as our agent to deliver the results we envisioned. Rodco Enterprise fulfilled that role and the results have been excellent.

Rodco built a summer home for us in Haliburton. From start to finish the experience was totally professional and friendly. They did exactly as they said they would in all respects. The level of quality in workmanship and materials was outstanding!! If I were to build another home or cottage (or even a renovation) I would most definitely use Rodco. Finally, the level of aftercare and maintenance has also been outstanding.
