RESIDENTIAL REMODELING EXPERT Rubicon Construction is family-owned and operated and was established in 2006 by Danville native, Josh Madrid. Initially a painting company, expansion to general contracting became a natural next step as our clients requested additional work. As a licensed and bonded contractor, Rubicon Construction quickly built a reputation as a thorough, efficient and knowledgeable professional entity. Since our inception, we have worked with virtually all of the same major subcontractors and key field staff. This results in the smoothest possible, "no drama" experience for our clients. Our success is demonstrated by the trust and repeat/referral business that our wonderful clients bring after they have worked with Rubicon. We commit to fair and accurate pricing, and we will not low-ball our original estimates, only to bill costly change orders later for missed items. We serve much of Contra Costa County, including Danville, Alamo, Blackhawk, Diablo, Lafayette, Orinda, Walnut Creek, Moraga, Pleasant Hill, and more. Our business is recommended by area architects and designers. More about the owner: Josh Madrid is a local that grew up in Danville and attended De La Salle High School. He continued his education at Humboldt State, where he studied Construction Management. While in college, he founded a successful painting business. He then expanded into Rubicon Construction as a full-service, quality-oriented general contracting company, focusing on high-end remodeling projects and home additions. He has a wealth of experience to work with clients on preliminary design ideas and cost-value information. He is hands-on from initial advice to final walk-throughs. He is married to Christi, and they live in Alamo, where they are raising their five children, Gianna, Emma, Paige. Walker and Hadley. In his spare time, Josh enjoys participating in the kiddos varied activities, cooking, fishing, and spending time in the wilderness, as well as jeeping the Rubicon. He enjoys family time at the ancestral cabin near Pinecrest. We look forward to working with you!
