Pat came through for me on a small floor repair job. Had original hardwoods sagging in a high traffic area. He was able to open it up, fix the sagging and put it back together so you could hardly tell it was worked on. Much appreciated.

A very positive experience having Patrick and his team finish my basement. Patrick was always very responsive and updated us daily while we were on vacation during part of the project. I had a very specific vision for the style (Japandi) and function (dance space and ample storage) for the basement, Patrick helped me create an unique basement space that I don’t think other companies would’ve been willing to do. He was always very receptive to feedback, and gave us great suggestions too. We actually incorporated some of his suggestions during the process and the final result is so much better because of it! Patrick’s whole team was professional and respectful of our house. We felt comfortable giving them access to our house while we were away and they took great care of it. Project total wasn’t too far off from the original estimate. Patrick went above and beyond to minimize material cost without compromising on the quality and integrity, which we appreciated a lot. We highly recommend having Patrick and his team for a project, and will certainly give them a call first if we need anything else done around the house!

Hiring Ryan & Sons Construction to help us remodel part of our mudroom and give our kitchen and 1/2 bathroom a refresh was a terrific decision! Patrick was quick to respond to our inquiry; getting any response from contractors nowadays is very difficult. We set up a time to meet, he was punctual, professional and very knowledgeable. Patrick also had a good network of other professionals that we ended up going through to repair some issues up on our roof and update our heating system. He was also very fair with pricing; it is very obvious to my husband and I that people are "price gouging" with the cost of everything going up. It was refreshing to work with them and it was enjoyable, not stressful! Highly Recommend!!!

Patrick remodeled my bathroom in April of this year. My wife and I couldn’t be any happier with the work that he did! Extremely professional, extremely friendly. We recently went through Lowe’s to update the flooring on our main floor. Long story short, after receiving all the materials, Lowe’s broke our contract and we needed to find a new contractor to lay them. I contacted several in my area and was having a very difficult time finding one who could do it, let alone anytime soon. Patrick was quick to get back to me and was out for an estimate within the week. He even helped us out in price to get closer to what we had originally been quoted through Lowe’s! When a spot in his schedule happened to open up, he contacted me and was able to squeeze in the job much earlier than we originally thought. Pat and his crew were not only a pleasure to have in our home, but they finished the job in 3 days and it looks fabulous! Pat spoke to his crew with respect and patience which is very important to me; a good boss means happy employees which means a better job done. Definitely recommend!

Patrick is very professional and transparent. He is flexible and understanding- something I hope he would write if he were reviewing us as clients! We hired him as part of a renovation loan we had which was a massive undertaking. The work took several months- but that was due to Covid, illnesses, financial setbacks, product availability, etc. Patrick was always transparent and followed through with our requests. My only criticism of Patrick is that he does not have enough hands. We had one major issue and that was when I asked him to purchase a very specific floor we had chosen from Home Depot, he did not purchase this right away and it was no longer available locally. That said, he drove to Ohio to pick up the flooring we wanted. Overall, Patrick's work is well done. Our work with him was generally focused on structural/flooring, some exterior work affected by dry rot, and a few other jobs (subcontracted with other professionals such as electricians). Patrick has been helpful, understanding, patient and worth working with. We selected Patrick after going through so many other contractors who were not available because of Covid- and he stepped up. Patrick is a genuinely good person- something that is hard to find in a lot of contractors

we are so pleased that we hired Ryan and Son for our tile project for a new shower stall. Not only was Patrick understanding of what we wanted but he also helped my husband with a difficult plumbing problem for the shower drain. Patrick is very professional and has a pleasant personality. He accomplished the job in 3 days and for a very reasonable price. We are very pleased with his work . If we have any more projects we will use Ryan and Son construction again. When we wanted to add onto our home and create additional living space, we turned to Houzz to help us with ideas and find local contractors. After interviewing several, we decided on Ryan & Sons Construction to help us with this project. What tipped the scales was Patrick’s professionalism, knowledge and demeanor; he really listened to what we wanted and offered ideas to compliment our end result. Throughout the process he was able to call upon architects, plumbers, electricians and colleagues to quickly get the permit pulled and construction started. We are almost finished with this project and are very happy we chose this company to work with. I’m suggesting Ryan and Sons to anyone who asks me if I know a reputable contractor. I hired Ryan and Sons to build a composite deck in the back of my house. What I thought would be a straightforward and simple project turned out to be much more involved than I originally thought. Patrick took the time to explain to me the permit process to make certain the value of the home was safe guarded and to be in compliance with local building codes. Although the deck took a little longer than I thought, I have a lot of peace of mind that things were done the right way. Patrick and his team were terrific. The deck is such a good addition to the home. We’ve already asked them to come back next year to help us with an addition to the house. My wife and I hired Ryan & Sons to update the flooring in our living room. Patrick and his team were professional, courteous and did the job so well that we've already signed a contract to update our windows come this fall! The time spent with us to explain the process and address our questions before he even started the work was truly appreciated. We did have some personal delays and to his credit, Patrick was able to rework our job into his busy schedule to accommodate our needs. While doing the work, Ryan & Sons was very clean, quick and efficient; which is important to us as we're working from home like so many others. If you're looking for a contractor that truly cares about quality of work and treats you with respect, I highly recommend!

$4,000 DEPOSIT GONE – STAY AWAY! READ TO END! We contracted with Ryan & Sons in January 2021 for a refinish of our basement. After waiting on them to secure permits with our town for over FOUR MONTHS we terminated the contract. Upon termination we received an invoice and refund in the amount of $850 from our $4,000 deposit with no work completed and not even a single material purchased. Despite them never even starting the work for us we had many issues during this process: 1.Communication was poor, delayed and intermittent. Once our check was cashed we were lucky to get a response from them after 1-2 weeks for simple updates/questions. On several occasions Patrick would give us excuses as to why he couldn’t contact us most of which were personal in nature and had nothing to do with our project. 2.Patrick grossly underestimated our original contract by thousands of dollars. We had to cut back the scope of our project just to keep it close to the original price he had quoted us and we had to spend an extra $600 building plans redrawn and resubmitted to the town – MORE DELAYS. 3.Glorified cruise director: At a rate of $50 per visit Patrick walked a bunch of random sub-contractors through our house for doing specific parts of the job. It became apparent that he didn’t have relationships with any of these people and had no idea what they’d be charging him – AFTER QUOTING US A PRICE AND SIGNING THE CONTRACT. 4.Poor awareness of basic permit laws – our town required multiple changes to our building plans resulting in thousands of dollars in extra costs for things we came to learn were standard, run of the mill requirements in a project like this – things Patrick had no idea about and had not accounted for in his quote. 5.After we discussed the possibility of delaying the start time of our project, given the MONTHS of delays in getting permits, Patrick informed us our project would require a building code variance from the state and sent us the form to complete without any guidance. This form requires specific knowledge of building code law, something we are not qualified to do. We called people in the industry asking about this form and they could not believe he had just sent it to us to complete on our own. After multiple emails looking for assistance in completing the form with NO RESPONSE for weeks from both Patrick and his architect, we decided to cancel the project outright. 6.Upon review of our final invoice detailing what was deducted from our deposit, we learned that Patrick billing rate for due diligence is $150 PER HOUR, which we learned is more than DOUBLE the average rate for a contractor. What was more alarming was that over the four months we waited for them to start the work Patrick had logged only 8.5 hours of billable time. We waited FOUR MONTHS he billed 8.5 hours of work and we only received $850 back from our $4,000 deposit. 7. These people are INEXPERIENCED - they asked us if we knew any electricians they could hire.

Did a great job on repair the siding that was damaged from the windstorm - they are pricing out a cost for the backyard fence and some construction cost for my son’s house. Highly recommend- Dave Dickman

Super professional, efficient, friendly, and did great work on short notice! Fixed the siding on my house perfectly and gave my wife and me a great consultation for what will soon be our master suite. I recommend them to everyone! Special shout-out to Patrick on top of that too!
