Bill helped us completely rebuild our main floor after major flooding from a busted pipe. He was always available and took the time to answer all our questions throughout the whole project. We totally trust Bill and his team, they did not cut corners or try to take short cuts. His subs do great work and followed all the new rules in place to deal with covid safely. We will be using Bill again for future projects.

After interviewing contractors and going over pricing, we were pleased to hire Scherbak Construction to replace the siding, windows, entry doors and masonry for our cabin. My husband and I hired Scherbak Construction to build a 650 sq ft addition to our home. It is an artist's studio, which I use for my professional work as a landscape painter. Bill Scherbak's work is outstanding! My wife and I purchased a cabin in the Echo Summit area and Bill was not only able to help us transform a "near tear down and rebuild" cabin into an updated and amazing property, but he also worked around and shored up the existing challenges so as to maintain and update the structure. His craftsmanship is like nothing I have ever seen in a builder. Overall attention to detail was beyond impressive and he did all of this without "breaking the bank". His pricing is extremely fair and for the quality of work we got from Bill and his crew, we would not think twice about doing it all over again. He truly saved what most would have considered to be a complete tear down and rebuild and created the opportunity for our family to keep the historic integrity of a beautiful cabin and made it 100x better, nicer, more comfortable AND the property value has appreciated significantly since his completion of work. Bill Scherbak the owner of Scherbak Construction built us our dream home on the Creek in Markleeville. Our house was zoned historic and it was complicated to get permits but Bill pulled it all off. From the permits/design to the finished product Bill handled it all and the outcome speaks for itself. This was a total re-build from the studs and the cottage style and detail is second to none. We asked Bill to pull off some VERY creative build outs and he never hesitated and came up with creative ideas to add to ours. From the vaulted ceilings with amazing beam work to the reclaimed hard wood floors and all the detail in between Bill showed just how talented he really is. Not only did they do the entire house they also put in 2 x's 4ft retaining walls and a bocce court in between down by the creek and built a shed from scratch with custom sliding barn doors. He kept to budget and the timeline we asked of him. We will never build with anyone else again. We are a few years into our new house and we have yet to have any issues with his work. The integrity he carries with him matches his talent.
