Our project was a basement finish, including adding a full bath, adding a walk-in closet, converting a fireplace from wood to gas and adding stone surround, widening a hallway to accommodate built-in desks, and reworking the entire space to include a gym area, craft area, billiard room, den, and homeschool area. The project took longer than we expected and cost more than we imagined but turned out very nice. There were a couple of problems with some subcontractor work, but both problems were corrected. Nice contractor and good overall job.

Through prior recommendations, we worked with Schmidt Bros Custom Homes from inception through completion of our new residential construction. We lived in our existing home while the new house was built 8 feet behind so were able to watch everything happen! Not only did Schmidt and all their sub-contractors do a fabulous job, they were all friendly, respectful and professional. Once the house was completed, we moved then demolished the old house. Schmidt Bros orchestrated it all including moving a wood stove from the old house to the new. The project was fun and we would do it again and we are not big fans of change! I never could have dreamed the project would go so well and finish ON TIME. We did have some product warranty issues and Schmidt also handled those and made sure things were taken care of. They are the best!!!!

Our home was built with the utmost attention to detail. Schmidt Bros. ensured quality from start to finish and it showed in the end product. We are beginning an update project and wouldn't think to partner with anyone else!

We are just putting the final touches (moving in 2 weeks) on our dream home built by Schmidt Bros. Custom Homes. If you're thinking of building, do yourself a favor and meet Ed, Lisa and the rest of the team. SBCH builds the highest quality, with attention to every detail. One of the things that impresses me most (so far) are the unsolicited comments we've heard from OTHER builders, subcontractors and people who have built with someone else. Every comment has been "If I build, I'll build with Schmidt Bros". Ed is extremely hands-on, genuinely cares that things are done to the highest standard, and he may be even pickier than I am (my wife didnt think it was possible). Their close supervision and clockwork-like organization result in a project that is done on time. We're ecstatic with the results. They have our highest recommendation.

Excellent attention to detail. Very thorough,helpful and insightful especially for first time home builders . Energy efficiency is important to the builder and explain details clearly. Would definitely recommend to family and friends!
