Sequoia completed a full house renovation for us in 2023. The project exceeded our expectations. The team at Sequoia communicated well, executed the work with high standards, and stayed on schedule. Because Patrick is experience and detailed, we didn't run into one surprise during or after construction. I highly recommend his team if you are considering a project.

I am an architect who has worked with Patrick on a residential project that included a total interior remodel and large addition. I found him to be very professional, able to manage his subcontractors and whose own carpenters provide the highest quality of workmanship.

We have been extremely pleased with Patrick and Sequoia Custom Builders. Their work is beautiful and without fault. Everyone who works for Patrick is a person you are very happy to have working in your home, which is not often the case. They are kind, respectful, pleasant and extremely responsible. Work is completed on time. We couldn't recommend them more highly!

Patrick fought constantly with our architect. We had multiple issues with the subcontractors. The electrician wouldn't follow the electrical plans made by the architect. A second heating/cooling company had to fix what the first company did. Painting had to be done multiple times. Once we were close to being finished, Patrick disappeared and only completed the project when he received a letter from our lawyer. It took us over a year to get Patrick to look at a parapet wall that was full of cracks and needed to be fixed. He said he would get a quote for an aluminum cap and fix the wall. That was six months ago - no response to multiple phone calls and emails. He claims integrity on his website. I would disagree.

Two years later and we still love the high quality work of Patrick and his crew. The project was a down to the studs, tear down a wall kitchen renovation that brought together the once separate kitchen and dining rooms in a typical NE colonial home. Patrick worked well with our kitchen designer. They even began collaborating on subsequent jobs! Patrick provided very clear information throughout the project from cost estimating, design detail troubleshooting, and stain selecting colors. The Sequoia Custom Builder crews were courteous, professional, and highly skilled. We lived in the house and ate in the living room temporary kitchen throughout. I would rehire Sequoia Custom Builders again without reservation.

Sequoia Custom Builders did an incredible job rebuilding our home. We had a house fire in November 2016 which caused structural and water damage and ultimately led to our house being completely gutted, so SCB certainly had their work cut out for them. Patrick and Caitlin were very responsive to our needs – even coming out to view our home on Thanksgiving morning. They helped us create a budget we could afford, worked with us on design ideas, and were understanding about all our “first-time renovator” questions. They were also extremely understanding about our difficult situation with our insurance company, who delayed reimbursements. The SCB team who worked on-site were kind and professional, and their work is impeccable. We’re happy to be home again in our beautiful, strong and safe house, and can’t thank them enough for all their work.

It has been a pleasure to work with Sequoia Custom Builders on various projects in two different homes. Patrick and his crews are highly skilled, considerate and a pleasure to have in our home. The end product is incredible. I have the utmost trust and faith in Sequoia and Patrick.

My family outgrew the home we loved and decided that instead of moving we wanted to renovate and do a pretty sizeable addition. We contacted a number of contractors for estimates but hands down had the best experience with Patrick and Sequoia Custom Builders, Inc. Our home was pretty old and had some specific design features that we wanted to carry through the new portion of the house. Patrick has a great eye and knew plenty about our house just by looking at it. We received a detailed estimate with everything clearly laid out. Caitlin was great at explaining things in laymens terms. Once the team started things carried along seemlessly. We were even able to live in our home with our two young boys throughout the entirety of the construction of the addition portion (digging out for a new basement room, pouring foundation, framing main floor, and framing of second floor master suite). "The guys," as my 2 year old called them, were careful and courteous and even asked when to do certain projects as to not disrupt my childrens' nap time!!! Every step of the way we were involved and able to easily communicate our wishes. If we changed our minds about something Sequoia was very accommodating. In the end the amazing skill and consummate professionalism of the Sequoia team was able to create the home of our dreams (literally straight from my brain to real life)! The new space really blends into the old as if the house was constructed this way from the beginning. The millwork details on the interior blend perfectly with the original woodwork. Everything from ceiling to floor was thoughtfully executed. We cannot say enough about this company and highly recommend them! Thank you, thank you, thank you Sequoia!

We couldn't be happier with the work that Patrick and his team have done! Patrick is incredibly professional and knowledgeable. He met with us and immediately understood what we were looking for. He offered ideas about how to retain as much of the existing structure as possible to save cost while still achieving the result we wanted. Patrick was very helpful in offering sites where we could look at materials and had great recommendations about the materials and structure that we might choose. We received a written estimate promptly and communication over email or phone was always met with a quick response. We scheduled the job and Patrick and his team were right on schedule. They were polite and respectful while at our home and the worksite was cleaned up before they left every day. The high quality of work is obvious and we are thrilled with the finished product. We can't wait to enjoy our new space!

We recently remodeled our kitchen with Sequoia. The project included removing walls, adding support beams, moving the washer and dryer and creating a better flow in our 1950's era home. Patrick and his crew were professional, reliable, and took great pride in their work. Their goal was to make sure we were satisfied with every aspect of the project. We were kept informed of what to expect each day and there was never a gap in the schedule. They were sensitive to our budget and always provided us with options when needed. We would not hesitate to use Sequoia in the future.

Sequoia Custom Builders Inc. constructed a two story addition to our house replacing a dilapidated greenhouse. The new space includes an expanded kitchen with a gas fireplace and a second floor office. The project was well managed and executed with high attention to detail. All those involved with the project were thorough, skilled and professional. Sequoia's fine woodworking is exceptional. We strongly recommend Sequoia Custom Builders.

We completed a first-floor renovation on our cape style home in December of 2015. Patrick O'Shaughnessy and his team at Sequoia Custom Builders began the project in July and transformed what was a charming, small-roomed 1st floor into an amazingly beautiful new space. The new design includes an open floor plan that is airy and bright and allows for better flow, better entertaining for a crowd or for a small group. The project consisted of gutting the first floor, removing walls, moving and redoing a first floor bathroom, a complete new kitchen, evening out all wooden floors, reworking the innards of an exterior room to be a major part of the main living area, installing new large windows and building a structural beam that is both functional and architecturally stunning. The millwork; cabinets, built-ins and cherry counter tops were made by Sequoia and are beautiful and expertly done. We loved having each and every member of Team Sequoia in our home. They arrived promptly at 7 am each morning and worked diligently until 3:30 pm and later on many days. Each of them is skilled and accomplished and they are passionate about their craft and committed to excellence. Each of them is polite, well met and professional. All of the subs that Patrick used were incredibly nice and accomplished too. Team Sequoia was a pleasure to have around and in fact we miss having the crew here. We highly recommend Sequoia Home Builders!
