Highly recommend Slate Construction Group, we built our new home with them and I can honestly say it was a great experience. Our GC Jason was always available and on top of things. Our house was finished in the timeframe we were given which is unheard of in south Florida. Would definitely use them again for any construction needs.

My wife and I hired Slate Consgruction to build our dream home. We had been planning to build our home for a very long time, and when it came time to pick the right GC, we were nervous from all the horror stories we had heard from our friends. Once we met Jason, we identified with him and he guided us through the process in such an open format, we felt very comfortabel in the process. One of the biggest benefits to us, was Jason's designer background. His ability to show us different ways to address situations and design changes that came up, were truly a blessing in the process. His unique blend of style and design, worked well with our own vision for the project. My wife and I would highly recomend him.

We had an incredible experience working with Jason and his team and could not be happier with the result. Jason's team showed up for work Mon-Fri (and several Saturdays) and worked every day to move the project along. Jason stayed on top of his subcontractors, all of whom were excellent. We made the mistake of hiring cabinet people on our own, who ended up being disappointing. Thankfully, the Slate team helped pick up their slack and fixed their work to make our cabinets look fantastic. The project came out beautifully. I attached before and after pictures. It was done on time and on budget. We actually did a good number of things not originally included in the project and in that respect, we were actually a decent bit under budget. We started with an old crappy storage shed that we converted into a beautiful laundry room. We turned an old kitchen into a beautiful modern kitchen. And we converted a converted garage back into a garage. Plus a number of other things like redoing plumbing, electrical, making a pass-through to the dining room, etc. Jason and his team really cared about the details and took the time to get everything right.

We bought an apartment with a rooftop in South Beach that was in bad shape including a major leakage coming from the rooftop. We needed a total renovation, including waterproofing, new bathrooms, recessed lighting, electrical wiring, plumbing, staircase. From the contractors we talked, Slate was the one that seemed to fit our expectations specially that they were familiar with renovations in Miami Beach and its permits, licenses and we wanted to hire someone who was used to the area since we were living abroad at the time. Slate and the team worked well in buying all the materials specified in the project and also came up with solutions when needed. Their team was very polite, always. The only issue with them was the lack of project management meeting the deadlines. Our renovation took almost a year to be completed. Even after we moved there were still pending issues. I We've had some stressful moments during the construction but we managed come up with an agreement and finish the apartment. The end project came up very nice. Unfortunately, after less than a year we noticed that the deck installation was not properly installed and started compromising the waterproofing in the balcony and rooftop. unfortunately, Slate will not help us with that.

I had a more difficult than usual project in Coconut Grove. I had hired a architect-contractor to redo a small (1400sqft) duplex on my daughter's property. After six months of dysfunction, I decided to break with him and hand the project to Jason Sanchez at Slate. And I live in San Diego! So Jason took over in the middle, with an owner 3,000 miles away. I have to say that Jason has a great can-do attitude, and a calmness that always smoothed my ruffled feathers. Even though there were lingering problems to sort out from the previous guy, he never got impatient or annoyed. His office manageress, Marisol, is awesome, and unfailingly helpful. Undoubtedly the distance caused some issues, and a couple of his subs were hard to work with, but I have a beautiful cottage now, and my children have a bright modern unit to rent. Worth the hard work!

It was an absolute pleasure working with Slate. Jason Sanchez and his team went above and behind to make our dream kitchen a reality. We couldn't be happier with the end result and would recommend Slate without any reservation!

Slate provided a very professional service from start to finish of the project. They were conscientious about ensuring the best job was done and facilitated the whole process with constructive and regular communication. They were also great at troubleshooting any construction issues that arose and very willing and helpful through to completion.

Slate Construction has worked on several projects for us, including the renovation of our Gallery Kitchen, Restroom and administrative offices. They have also renovated our corporate offices in Wynwood which included relocating interior walls, adding new exterior shipping bay doors, ramps, flooring, fire retardant rated doors, electrical, lighting and etc... Professional, timely, and always kept work areas clean and clear. Respectful of our schedule and daily operation. Compliant, trustworthy and honest. If a project was not going to meet a deadline or was unattainable, they were upfront about it.

Profesional services, great quality of work, work on a timely manner. After using many contractors in the Miami area I will only recommend Slate!
