Stealth Construction

In 2017, we brought Stealth in for a gut renovation of our single-family house in Davis Square. We've been back in the house for a year now and couldn't be happier with the result. We'd already been living in the house for 17 years, and we'd been thinking about the renovation for many years, so we thought we knew every possible thing a contractor might do with the available space. But on our first walk-through with Rob he gave us multiple great ideas that had never occurred to us--Stealth ended up being like a second architect for us. We had one of those steep 1800s staircases up to the attic that needed to be replaced. Rob not only figured out a great spot for a new staircase that made the most of the space, his design allowed us to put a full bath into the attic that didn't require us to build an expensive dormer. Rob and Debby had various other design suggestions like making use of dead space in a bathroom by creating a linen closet accessible from an adjacent room. Rob's construction team as well as all the sub-crews in electrical, plumbing, floors, insulation, drywall, and painting were all extremely professional. And they're quick, which is no small thing. The original schedule was for six months. Even though we encountered major structural issues--floor joists needed to be replaced throughout, and the gutting of the house revealed major fire damage in the roof that had been covered up--they still finished in six months to the day.

Stealth was awesome - we had a wonderful experience working with Rob, Debby and their crew. They gave us great advice and helped keep us on track through the whole process. Our house now looks amazing and we are so appreciative of their attention to detail.

Stealth Construction did a wonderful job on my kitchen renovation. Everyone was friendly, professional and meticulous. They were responsive to issues and were always available by phone or email. And, I love my new kitchen!

Stealth Construction did a fantastic job on my full bathroom renovation, finishing everything as quickly as circumstances would allow, and in particular generally being very responsive to email, which is something I have had a hard time finding in other contractors. We did have some initial miscommunications during the planning phase of the project, but I was happy with how we worked through it. In addition to the bathroom renovation, Stealth Construction also helped to coordinate floor refinishing, paint, and a few other miscellaneous updates to the apartment overall. Since this was a rental apartment I also found it super helpful that Rob operates his own rentals and so was able to advise on the most cost-effective approach to improving things in general.

We were very happy with the work Stealth Construction did for us. From the outset, they were very clear regarding what materials we were responsible to choose and supply (e.g., tile, grout, mirror, toilet, sink). They were great at communicating and updating the timeline (e.g., the plumber will be there tomorrow, the electrician will be there on Wednesday). We loved that the responded to emails within 24 hours (usually) sooner. We felt the Stealth professionals in our home too the customer service aspect of their work seriously; the were consistently courteous and frequently checked in to be sure their work was meeting our expectations. The work itself was of high quality and we'll definitely use Stealth for our next home improvement job.

The job: a total redo of existing bathroom plus adding a new bathroom in a former walk-in closet, with very close quarters. Stealth did an amazing job, both in the work in our unit and especially in minimizing the disruption to the neighbors. They were not the cheapest bid we had, but we absolutely made the right choice. Great people to work with, and they do great work.

Stealth provided GC services for our remodel of our apartment in our Somerville home. We were completely happy with their performance. Very professional, all changes clearly documented, and the work was exceptional.

We hired Stealth Construction for a "total gut" renovation of our two family home. We had architecture drawings and very specific ideas since we had done many renovations previously. We were extremely pleased working with Stealth and the mutual respect that we had between us. We are thrilled with the results and very comfortable in our new home.
