We just recently completed our new build with Steele's Construction in Hickory, NC. From the moment we walked out of our first meeting with this team, we knew we had made the right choice for our custom build. We signed our contract and immediately the process was underway. There was never a delay in the project and it was actually completed ahead of schedule! Victor & Calob, our project managers, were on site each & every day working side by side with any crew that was on site. I need to start by saying how amazing our new home is. Words cannot describe the feeling we had when we first walked in on our new home on reveal day. From the moment we started thinking about building our new home, we knew the company that we wanted to use. We knew the work and design Steele’s Construction LLC does and wanted to have a house that would look nice, have a touch of European look to it and feel like home. Boy did we hit it out of the park by choosing Tim and Donna with their group build or dream home and I mean dream home. We decided to let Donna have free reign on all aspects of design without question for our home and were we amazed. From the colors to the furnishings, the lights and design it is astonishingly beautiful. Literarily had to hold ourselves from crying when I walked in on the big day to take possession of our new home. The professionalism, the quality and the care that gets put into this project starting with Tim all the way to the last subcontractor it was unbelievable. To sum it all up we just went on one of the best vacations we had in a while, but after a week we couldn’t wait to come back home to our own vacation spot. It feels like every day we are on this amazing, never ending vacation. From the open layout with these amazing comfortable couches to the gorgeous dining room layout and the perfect kitchen cabinets and beautiful quarts tops all the way out to our huge deck overlooking the golf course it is more then we could have dreamed of. Amazing…Stunning...Phenomenal…Awesome…Beautiful…Incredible… There aren’t enough adjectives in the English language to adequately describe our new space and our feelings for Steele’s Construction and Steele’s Construction Design Team. When Tim Steele returned my initial phone call within 24 hours (even though he and his family were away on vacation), and then followed through on his promise to call me first thing Monday morning upon their return I knew I’d found the most professional and conscientious contractor in the area. After two not-so-great experiences with other local designers & builders, Tim & Donna Steele and the entire Steele’s Construction and Design team were a desperately needed gasp of fresh air. They did for us what others before them couldn’t or wouldn’t do. Every question, suggestion, phone call and text message was immediately responded to. Even an email sent at midnight! The devil is in the details and the Steeles know it. From repairing shoddy construction and rotten studs from leaking windows to mixing and testing various stains to get “just the right shade,” right down to the finished edge on our gorgeous tile backsplash Tim and Donna were on top of it. Donna’s vision, exquisite taste, design prowess and innate ability to “get me” even when I sometimes didn’t get myself, combined with Tim’s insistence on using quality materials and only the most skilled and conscientious sub-contractors make for one pretty spectacular outcome. And then there’s Victor and Calob, our wonderful Project Managers. Victor, who was the first to arrive in the morning and the last to leave in the evening. Who’s smarter and physically works harder than any man I know. Who never loses his cool, and who’s “ask, and ye shall receive” attitude and ability to speak multiple languages made having him in our home everyday a blessing. We’re definitely feeling the loss of his daily presence now that our project is finished. And, Calob, who worked side-by-side with Victor making sure subs were doing what they were assigned to do and working right along with them. Who hauled countless dumpsters overflowing with debris to the landfill, and who never hesitated to pick up a broom and dustpan to keep the worksite tidy. To Tim, Donna, Victor, Calob, Juan, Courtney, Cierra, Chloe and Christopher we say thank you. Thank you for making our dreams and ideas a reality. You’ve made our home so unbelievably gorgeous that we can’t believe we own it…much less get to live in it!

HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY! Our experience with Steele's Construction and Design was nothing less than excellent. Both facets of this company deserve attention and praise. On the construction side, Tim and his team, notably Victor and Manny, were really outstanding. Tim was able to identify issues in our 1930's home that needed address, and then to find the most economical and high end way to handle them. The quality of the construction is excellent. Having worked with other builders, Tim and his construction team are head and shoulders, and more, above anyone within a 250 mile radius of our home - probably a larger radius than that. We cannot stop there, because the Steele's Design Team was just as incredible. Donna has a great eye for design opportunities within a home, and also a knack for adapting to the homeowner's taste and budget. Donna's design tendencies are exquisite, and she is personally involved with her diverse team to make sure the final product exceeds expectations. It definitely does for us. We only wish we could give Steele's Construction & Design 6 stars instead of 5. They are awesome!

My wife and I recently purchased our first home together. While the location was perfect for us, it needed a significant amount of remodeling. After seeing photos of the remarkable work of Steele's Construction, and meeting with their team, there was no question about who we would hire. Their design team was excellent, having a vision for our home my wife and I hadn't even been able to conceptualize. The construction team was prompt and attentive to detail. The owner, Tim Steele, was quick to evaluate the condition of our home, finding things that would make it more efficient such as the need for increased insulation to save on heating costs and a wiring issue that was critical. Altogether the company was a breeze to work with and the results speak for themselves. We now have an amazing home that we are in love with.
