Steeper Construction

We lost our home to a fire in December 2014. The stressful situation was made almost pleasant by the professionalism displayed by the "Steepers" In all aspects of the build from conception on scrap of paper to the finished product a truly magnificent home. The hands on attitude was a refreshing change from the last build we had done 15 years ago. We had many of the normal concerns with choosing a builder as well as our unique concerns about the impact of the environmental setting, accessibility challenges, and budget or lack there of . Along with the shock of having to build under the added pressure while being homeless and not knowing what truly had survived the cataclysm.

We lost our home to a fire in Dec 2014....We had to select a builder to build a new home from the ground up .... We had experience building a new home 15 years ago but that was in a different town and we were now in an area where we didn't know the builders...Based upon reputation, recommendations and value for the price, we worked with the insurance company and selected Steeper Construction to build our home.... Steeper had 3 generations of experience and the father and son team of Jim and Brett Steeper worked with us from the initial planning stages until the final touches were done... We took a few concept drawings to Brett Steeper and numerous photographs, and he worked his magic with his computer and showed us exactly what we hoped to achieve...Brett and my wife Ann worked on layouts and after about 5 revisions, we agreed on the layout. Once all was agreed upon and construction started, the Steepers were a pleasure to work with....We would meet briefly on site every day to make sure that areas that could be changed/modified were discussed so we could make the decisions we needed to. Steepers offerred all aspects of the Building process and offered us a landscape package to build retaining walls, stone work and patio fireplace. We can not say enough good about the Steepers and their staff... Ann and I are pleased with every aspect of the house. We are truly thankful that we chose Steeper Construction and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to build a home.. Thanks Tim/Ann Hobbs .
