STILLSON GENERAL CONTRACT

This was the third job that I hired Darrell to complete. I most value the way he, and his subs, treat my home with respect each and every time they are here. That is a lot to say for a contractor. The first job he did for me in 2014 was a remodel of my kitchen, bathroom, living room and dining room. It was a complete remodel as those rooms were down to the studs. As my home is small, I had to move out for 3-4 months. I was back in my home in 3 months. In 2015 he finished replacing the windows and the stucco of my home. This year we began work on the exterior. I highly recommend Darrell. He also completely remodeled my neighbors home in 2016.

"Well... Let's start with the fact that the work was completed under budget and prior to the deadline. My wife and I are A-type personalities, in generally difficult to please. People ask me about how my remodel went and are surprised when I tell them "excellent" or "piece of cake". We did an extensive remodel of our 1930's Spanish bungalow. Our architect included 4 contractors in the bidding process. Stillson Contracting was by far our first choice. Darrell and his team listened to our concerns and responded appropriately throughout the process. Darrell's attention to detail and planning made the experience smooth. He worked with our design team from Whitaker Architects to ensure the home was remodeled above industry guidelines. And more importantly, the result was fantastic! Stillson Contracting far exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend this company... Darrell is a straight shooter with decades of experience. He can be relied upon to get the job done. Probably the most telling aspect of this project is that there were NO SURPRISES.

Darrell Stillson did a major remodel project on our house. He was honest, courteous and very capable. He worked well with us, with our architect, and with the subcontractors. This project was completed in two phases, with us living in one half of the house at a time, and Darrell and his team doing construction on the other half. The major focus of this project was a new kitchen, family room, and dining room, included three bathrooms, and involved the whole house. I recommend Darrell Stillson. He does high quality work and he is honest and respectful.

Darrell Stillson is the Mike Holmes of San Diego! I've been working with Darrell and his team since 2011. He built an addition to our 1922 Craftsman home in South Park San Diego and he's restored more than our home so far... We had another contractor start our addition but had to fire him over shoddy work. At first my husband and I were frustrated, but now we thank God for bringing us an honest contractor - everything happens for a reason! Darrell is a true professional. He's probably the last of a very rare breed - he's honest, humble, detailed and seasoned contractor. He has been in business since the 1970's, he is a carpenter by trade and owns a Craftsman himself, so he's awesome with the woodwork a true Craftsman renovation entails. If you live in San Diego, are planning on spending money on an addition, get a bid from Darrell (and our architects, Whitaker, Inc, I highly recommend too). We had weekly meetings to ensure we stayed on budget and worked within our deadline. The collaboration has brought out some very creative solutions. I'm a 41 year old female, very picky and attentive to detail myself, and these guys had the patience of a saint while I made and changed decisions throughout the project. For that alone, they get major kudos. :)
