Stonehaven Remodeling

We are disheartened to share our frustrating experience but we would like to warn others from going down the same road and losing time and money. After meeting with a Stonehaven sales representative, we made a deposit for half of the estimated project cost on September 9, 2022. On October 11, 2022 we reached out to the office as we had not heard from anyone at Stonehaven. We had not been given a Project Manager or received any communication on the project. Office staff indicated that she would speak to the owner and we would get a call back. We made 7 additional calls requesting to speak with the owner. We were told the owner was busy, sick, working on other projects etc. October 29, 2022 Chris Chambers returned our calls. He stated that he had not looked at our project file. During the call Chris did not listen to our concerns about the lack of communication from Stonehaven, or that our project had not begun and no materials had been ordered. Chris did not acknowledge any company shortcomings. We signed a carbon copy paper, agreeing to the estimates for a remodel and gave a deposit. No one at any time reviewed or discussed contract stipulations. At our request to cancel the contract prior to the commencement of work on the project, ordering appropriate supplies or preparation for the project by Stonehaven, Chris indicated that he would be deducting 10% of the quoted cost of the remodel. In the end, Chris kept a portion of our deposit in the sum of $1,628.71 and justified his actions by saying that he had paid his staff commissions and to cover administrative fees for our project that never started, no work was done and no materials were ordered. There is no way we could recommend working with Stonehaven Remodeling.

I usually do not do reviews however I find the need to do this one…. Stonehaven did a great job at selling their services but did nothing when the time came. They requested 12k deposit for a bathroom remodel and never did anything in a 3 month . After many , many phone calls always an excuse or no returned call. We canceled the job and they kept 3k because it’s in the fine print that they can keep 25% . So watch out!!!!!!!!!! I would never use them.

We absolutely love our new kitchen! After speaking with several contractors it was the Stonehaven difference that allowed us to feel confident taking on a major renovation. Unlike the others, Stacy took the time to walk us through every detail to consider and provided a variety of vendors for us to visit from granite, tile, cabinets and more. Our Project Manager, Michael kept us updated and made himself easily accessible every step of the way. Micheal ensured safety precautions were followed and took extra precautions to protect our home while keeping the site as safe and clean as possible. Demetri is a perfectionist whose attention to detail is impeccable! Gil and Elliot aimed to please and truly allowed us to realize Stonehaven was the best choice as the entire staff is amazing! We will enjoy our new kitchen and the wonderful memories we create for years to come!

We have a disaster created by Stonehaven remodeling! We asked sales manager , Stacy, to renovate our master shower to a roll-in wheelchair accessible shower. We explained health concerns including spinal fusions, knee surgeries, lung cancer/COPD which may cause one of us to need wheelchair access in the future. Apparently Stacey did not communicate to the workers that it was to be a roll- in shower. They put in a WEDI shower base tray, with a 2 inch lip. The tile mason was ready to tile this in, when my husband asked him how the wheelchair could possibly get in? He replied , “ Lift up the front of the wheelchair, and lift it in!” That’s when they added an unsightly ramp with trip points at three edges, as nothing was flush with surrounding flooring. The ramp is twice as steep as the ADA recommended 1 to 12 ratio. I could not push my hubby up the bumpy 1:6 sloped ramp . Owner Chris Chambers refuses to make it right, and has our $3100 down payment. We must tear out , start over.

Stonehaven Remodeling recently completed a multi-room remodeling project at my home and I couldn't be more pleased! The general contractor, Stacy Beam, and all of the tradesmen involved in my project were professional, nice to deal with and did quality work. I highly recommend Stonehaven Remodeling!

This was the most professionally handled contractor I have ever used. We hired them to remodel our master bathroom. Stacy, the Project Mgr, provided excellent communications. They started the day they promised, and we were told almost every day what was happening and who was coming to do the work. The subs were extremely courteous and kept the work area clean at the end of each day! They protected the carpet and flooring for the path they took through the house and kept the work area from expanding to other areas! Without a doubt I would recommend them to anyone else!

I can't thank the team at Stonehaven enough. After a county sewer overflowed in my home I needed a contractor for an unplanned and completely unexpected downstairs renovation (flooring, sheetrock, painting, bathroom remodel, demo, etc.). Stonehaven completely saved the day with their professionalism and complete attention to detail. Their work was perfect, on time and on budget. I highly recommend Stonehaven for any construction and contracting needs you may have.

We hired Stonehaven Remodeling Services to convert our “extra” living room into a bedroom for our daughter. From beginning to finish, their service was outstanding. Chris, the owner, consistently checked up on the progress of the construction and made sure we were happy with the work. If there was a problem or concern, it was addressed and handled immediately. All of the workers were very polite and respectful. On one of the days they were scheduled to work, my children were out of school for a teacher work day. I was very concerned that the kids would be in their way because the area they were working was on the kid’s side of the house. But they were very courteous and even joked around with my children. Making any kind of renovations to your home is very stressful but Stonehaven really made the process less chaotic. We will definitely use them for any future projects we have.

I highly recommend Stonehaven Remodeling. I have used them many times and found them to be proficient, honest, punctual and outstanding work ethics. They deserve a ***** status in my book.

We hired Stonehaven to replace a window. Here's a brief summary of the problems. - We agreed to pay half up front, they charged in full. - They never communicated with us. Stacy (the manager) said he'd call me in two weeks, I called him 3.5 weeks later to get the work kicked off. All communication with the company was initiated by me. - We asked to have some water damaged drywall replaced. I stayed home from work to meet the drywall guy for three no shows. When I called a week after the second no show to get an update Stacy told me he forgot. - They billed $250 for the drywall work, but when they finally sent a guy, they only sent him to mud over the problem area. - They broke several pieces of vinyl outside, when I politely pointed it out to Stacy I got a surprisingly rude attitude in response, but they eventually did replace the siding. - The only thing we asked for was a refund of the $250 for the drywall work that wasn't done. They refused, citing man hour costs and minimum billing. - There were a few more negligible items, i.e. handfuls of nails left in the yard and poorly caulked window on the inside. We were hoping to use them again next year for a $20,000+ master bathroom remodel, but we will be steering clear.We hired Stonehaven to replace a window. I was referred to Stonehaven Remodeling by my neighbors who had hired them to add an addition and update their kitchen. They were not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive contractor that we met with. Their job turned out beautiful. We hired them last year. We updated our kitchen, added a deck and some other things here and there. Our experience with Stonehaven Remodeling was very good. We are very pleased with the finished job. The crew was always polite and professional, which can sometimes be hard to find when hiring people. They offered insight and recommendations as to what would work best to achieve the overall look that we were wanting as well as more cost effective. We had several change orders along the way and they did their best to keep the job on schedule and not let it run us behind. Of course sometimes you just can't control the manufacturers, but all in all it worked out. I do recommend Stonehaven Remodeling. I actually am planning on some additional work in 2017 and will be going with them again.

Kitchen & bathroom remodel. Hardwood flooring. Great job, very happy with their work. Chris & Stacy were very easy to work with. The crew was also great. I was kept in the loop every step of the way. And we really love our new kitchen! Plan on using in the future.
