Striking Renovations did a wonderful job renovating our master bathroom and installing the new hardwood flooring in our master bedroom. John was so nice and so easy to work with and was always aware of everything . He wanted it to be perfect and I really appreciated his attention to detail. I was privileged to work with his designer Elizabeth Kavlock, who had wonderful taste and didn't try to talk me into something I didn't want. I totally trusted her opinion and her knowledge. Billy and his team were great! They were respectful, always professional, nice and clean ( which was very important to me)! They even played with my dogs and Jesse, the wonderful tile guy even brought in the trash for me! I love my new bathroom and hardwood floor!! I would absolutely refer Striking Renovations to my friends and family.

I am a designer who regularly works with Striking Renovations on their projects. Their team is so easy to work with from my perspective. The workers respect the designers input and are open about communicating small decisions along the way. I can't tell you how rare that can be in this business! I love the passion these guys have for what they do and it shows in the details. I love being involved in their transformations and enjoy seeing their clients so thrilled with what we do together!

Striking Renovations provides one of those rare experiences in life—it delivers what it promises and exceeds expectations. Co-owners John Yacovelli and Billy Harris, and their entire team of contractors, showed the utmost respect for our family and lifestyle. They communicated their schedule every day, and showed up on time. And they worked seamlessly with our designer, Candice Wideman of Youtopia Designs. Striking Renovations did an amazing job cleaning up every day before they left. Billy reviewed the work with us weekly to address any issues we might have; and made suggestions as the project developed so we could make decisions before the project was complete. The team of Striking Renovations respected our property, and our time, and was very respectful of our neighborhood. They never once blocked the street or left a mess. In short, we didn’t get one complaint from the neighborhood association. Their craftsmanship—in a word, excellent! The crew was friendly, cooperative, and became fast friends with our pets—treating them with kindness and patience. We truly enjoyed having them around; which says a lot for a project that took 3 months to complete. To go through a major remodeling like we did, it is vital to have a team who understands how it affects the family and keeps the inconvenience of the project to a minimum. We found it to be absolutely true with Striking Renovations. Our kitchen is beyond beautiful and we couldn’t be more satisfied with Striking Renovation’s performance. We will call on them again for future projects. We recommended them long before our project was complete, and will continue to recommend Striking Renovations for all remodeling projects.

Striking Renovations did a complete kitchen remodel for us. John drew up the plans-listening to what was important to us and we were impressed with the layout and excited that he heard our needs and wants for the new kitchen. Once the crew got started-they were very respectful as far as working in our house for 6-8 weeks. They cleaned up the area well at the end of each day. At the end of the project, the kitchen turned out better than we could have imagined. You can tell that Striking Renovations takes a lot of pride in their work and finished product. We have received so many compliments on our kitchen from others.

After Striking Renovations remodeled our guest bath (in 2015), we were so happy with them that when we had a new project, we just called them up; we felt no need to get other estimates. This was a big project -- they replaced carpeting in living room/dining room/hallway with hardwood, replaces carpeting in our office/workroom with woodgrain vinyl, redid the basement floor with vinyl, added 500 linear feet of library-style bookcases in the basement and redid the lighting there to better illuminate the bookcases. They also replaced the under-cabinet lighting in the kitchen with LEDs. They projected that the job would take 6 weeks; it was done in 4. They were very committed to cleaning up and making it possible for us to live in the house while the work was being done. Also, the people on the job (Doug, Billy, Eric, Lucas, Brad and Dan) were wonderful; it is easy to think of them as friends, not just workmen in our home. If you choose a firm solely on the basis of price, Striking Renovations may not be your cup of tea. While their prices are reasonable, they will probably not be your lowest bidder. But they may be your best value; you will definitely get your money's worth.

Striking renovations did a beautiful job on the complete remodel of our master bathroom. Working with them was great from the very beginning. John was on time for our initial meeting and very responsive throughout the entire process when we had questions. We really liked that John took us out to help us choose the materials for the job. The construction crew was meticulous in their quality, clean and respectful of our home and the work was completed in a timely manner. This was our first experience hiring a contractor and it went better than we could have ever imagined. We will definitely be using Striking Renovations for future projects in our home.

I've had Striking Renovations handle two recent projects and I am very happy with the results. First they remodeled my kitchen and were able to give me the open feeling and plenty of cabinet space at a reasonable price. Then this past year they remodeled my sun room which still had 1970's era wood paneling. It is now a warm and inviting space to sit and relax. I will definitely contact Striking Renovations for my next project.

Based on our experience remodeling an 1800 sq. ft. basement, we would highly recommend Striking Renovations. We were impressed from the beginning, working directly with all three partners, John, Billy and Brad. Their design & construction expertise transformed our rough conceptualization into a dream space, which included a home theater space, workout room, large shoe closet, bathroom, open wine sitting area, entertainment space and a custom luxury bar. Their input was helpful in every phase of the project and their knowledge and expertise extended beyond simply generating design plans and constructing. They had good solutions to maximize our space, they provided us with quality suppliers and subcontractors. Most importantly, they listened to our ideas and provided good practical solutions to meet our needs. Their fixed price with allowances was an effective way for us to manage cost and they were very flexible when we made changes. The finished carpentry and construction quality was exceptional and we were comfortable with them being in our home. For any future projects, we would feel no need to look further than Striking Renovations.

Our project was completed to a standard that exceeded our expectations. When John first came out to see our house he listened carefully to our needs and vision for our home. He also made suggestions and gave us information we needed about the realities of such a large project. Soon he had prepared drawings for us that provided a more concrete presentation of his understanding of our wishes and a common focus for more idea development. We were initially very impressed that John seemed to understand our taste and lifestyle and he developed a plan that was not only functional and beautiful but highly personal. The major part of our project was a complete kitchen renovation, including the removal of a wall to open the kitchen into the dining room, the removal of a peninsula, and expansion of a window. Additionally, we replaced all of the ceilings and floors on the main level of the house. John arranged for an interior designer to meet with us and later take us shopping to select cabinets, tile, lighting, flooring, and countertop. We were told that the project would take 6-8 weeks but in fact all of the work described above was completed in exactly 30 days! At that point we had to wait a week for the quartz countertop to be installed. Under a separate contract, Striking Renovations then installed new doors on the main level and completely renovated our basement. We were extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of all the workers in our home. All were very knowledgeable, conscientious and hard-working. Equally important to us, however, was that we were very comfortable having these people in,our home. Every day there were two to four men working on our job. Friends had told us to expect the workmen to "disappear" for a week or more while they managed multiple jobs. That was not our experience. Additionally, these men were friendly, cheerful, polite and respectful of us and our property. We completely trusted them, whether we were home or not. One aspect we would like to see this energetic young company develop would be the area of communication. We did feel that sometimes we waited too long for returned phone calls and that we were not always on the same page with verbal requests or questions. We eventually started clarifying important information by email-that seemed to eliminate further problems. But overall, we are VERY SATISFIED with the work, the people and the results we experienced with STRIKING RENOVATIONS. We recommend them to friends and neighbors and will be calling them again for future projects.

I have had Striking Revovations do a few jobs for me and every time I feel like they did a really good job and they are they know what they are doing. They work hard and are great guys... I didn't want some creepy guys at our home. Very happy and will hire them again.

Striking built our custom home this past year. It was not an easy task and the home had some non traditional changes that most builders would have pushed back on, but they were eager to take on the challenge. The project came in almost right on budget, aside from some minor changes that my wife and I made mid stream. Striking was very flexible with the changes. The guys we all very professional and their quality and craftsmanship was top notch.
