We received a referral for Suncoast Remodeling and I set up an appointment with Phil Varela, the owner. He gave me an estimate & bid to build a fireplace mantel and to install vinyl plank flooring. We agreed on a start date and a very fair price. The crew was very respectful, showed up on time, and cleaned up their work area each day. We recently remodeled our restroom and were so happy with the outcome. Phil and his team did an amazing job and were so patient through it all. Phil and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with during my fireplace remodel and built-in installation. His work was absolutely impeccable - I showed him some inspiration pictures and not only was he able to execute it flawlessly, but he makes great suggestions along the way as well. He was extremely responsive and friendly throughout the entire process and I knew just what to expect throughout the approximately 1.5 week project. We suffered from a major flood in late October and must rebuild our entire bathroom and half of the bedroom. Our priority was to find a good and reliable tile contractor first so that we can upgrade our shower during this remodeling. We found Phillip online, viewed all his previous work, read all the reviews, learned about he is the 3rd generation tile professional, and we made the phone call. That was in mid-November, a lot of contractors are not taking big projects because of the holiday season, but Phillip is very easy to communicate and willing to help us. Phillip showed up next day on time, looked at our place (see picture 1), he told us that he not only can help us remodel the entire shower, but also can help us rebuild the entire place, including install drywall, ceiling, vanity, bathroom and vanity lights, flooring, shower glass, toilet etc., and fix electricity, plumbing etc., basically everything we need to put our bathroom and bedroom back together. With a very fair price! It is very important for us to find a one-stop shop like Suncoast Remodeling. Phillip and his team are very hard-working people, very professional and very easy to work with. Even with our extra requests during their work, they always make it happen. Pictures worth a thousand words, look at our beautiful bathroom now (picture 2-6). We couldn’t be happier with the result. November of 2021 we were elated to have SunCoast Remodeling remodel our fireplace. We can’t say enough great things about Phil and his team. Phil was very helpful over the phone before the project started, advising us in choosing materials. We were concerned dust from demoing our old fireplace and hearth would damage other furniture in the room. Phil partitioned off the room creating a ceiling to floor plastic wall. He also used a very effective exhaust fan that took all the dust outside. We were impressed by the attention to detail in every aspect of the work. Phil demoed the hearth so precisely that the wood floor around it was not damaged. He perfectly fit the new tiles flush to the existing wood floor. He was patient with any questions we had, and didn’t mind letting us pick out the tiles we wanted him to use for the hearth. We found SunCoast Remodeling to be very professional, efficient, and attentive to detail. We highly recommend them.

I hired Phil (Sun Coast Remodeling) to remodel my fireplace. I expected to start after the 1st of the year because it was last minute and I know contractor have been busy but he was able to get it done right away. I’m so happy with my remodel and have had many compliments so far. I will be using Sun Coast again!!

In 2021 we completed a very large remodel. Phil Varela from SunCoast Remodeling built the kitchen, the bathrooms, the utility room, installed the floors, and renovated the fireplace. He also installed all necessary plumbing as well as the appliances. As the supervisor of the project we could always count on him to get updates and feedback when we needed it. Our house is a contemporary, warm home now and we have received so many compliments on his work. We strongly recommend Phil and his team for this type of work or any work in your house.
