Sure-Fix Remodeling

We signed a contract with Sure Fix on April 5th for painting, carpentry, tile work, plumbing and electric work totaling over $25,000 to remodel the house we had just moved into. Sure Fix's performance was decidedly mixed, and we would not hire them again. 1) 5-6 Weeks Longer Than Estimated Before selecting Sure Fix, Henry the owner told us the project would take 2-3 weeks. In reality, they took 8 weeks, or 3-4 times longer than the estimate. 2) Lateness Not Due To Additional Work We added and subtracted work items after the work began, and the net cost of additional work only totaled about 20% more than the original price--a workload justifying only a few days of extra labor, and not a 5-6 week overrun. 3) On Many Days, Did No Work On Our Project There were many days when only 1 or 2 workmen worked for a just few hours, and at least 10 entire days when no workmen came at all. This was a matter of health for me, as I have asthma and was adversely affected by the dust that the prolonged work period exposed me to. 4) They Juggle Many Jobs At The Same Time Tony, the project manager, justified his periodic abandonment of our project by writing: "We have several jobs going on and we have to be fair to everyone." We felt, however, that being fair to us would mean completing our project, without gaps of inactivity, in 2-3 weeks as promised--but that did not happen. Instead, Tony wrote on a day when no work happened: "I have other jobs to do." 5) Made Major Mistakes Costing Us Time And/Or Money Among other mistakes, a whole week was lost when Sure Fix erred by ordering a custom countertop made of the wrong material. In the end, Henry charged us an extra $1,500 for the substitute higher-grade material we ultimately selected, but we would have been happy with our previous choice for $1,500 less. 6) Stopped Communicating After Last Payment, Leaving Work Undone After we made final payment, we could see that final touch-ups had been done with the wrong paint, and those touch-ups now required touching-up themselves. I texted Tony several times and left a voice mail for Henry to schedule the fixes still due, but neither of them bothered to answer me. Summary Their workmen were friendly and the work was generally good. But on balance, we would certainly not hire Sure Fix again. This job was my dream to have a open concept kitchen into the dining area, and I had waited 5 years for!!. Henry's team was excellent! They gutted the whole kitchen to nothing and rebuilt it in 6 weeks. The team kept the dust down to a minimum by covering the doorways with plastic and covering dining room furniture with plastic too. The Cabinet team was great!! They built a custom cookbook shelf in a small space and I love it! That seems to be the first thing my friends notice and comment how they want one! All the joints and miters on crown molding and granite are perfect. Henry's choices of granite is impressive, with many to choose from. The soft close cabinets, flooring and backsplashes choices have many combinations and great colors to chose from. I cannot say enough about Henry's team except Thank you!! For all your hard work and dedication into making my dream kitchen beautiful and they way I wanted it!!!!

I was so excited for my kitchen remodel but it turned into a nightmare if it could go wrong here it did from the bad drywall that Henry thought was funny to the cabinets being off 3 inches to the scuff on my floor that they actually placed the piece in to the spackle and paint to the screws popping out and the kicker they drilled my quartz off center I'm very disappointed in a company with 5 stars I hired them by their reviews buyer beware everyone was nice but I felt second class through the whole process the owner probably has no clue of the poor workmanship of (his guys) very sad cause a kitchen remodel is not cheap and yes my drill is off center A SIMPLE APOLOGY WOULD BE GOOD but they make it out to be my fault because of their poor workmanship....that's ok no change in work order cause they messed up....seriously

I typically do not write reviews however, we are so happy with the professionalism and craftsmanship I felt it was necessary. We moved into a new home over Labor Day weekend and were prepared to spend time gathering esitmates. However, when we contacted Sure Fix the owner, Henry Rouhana, was the most responsive and met us at our home on moving day. We knew we made the right choice almost initially. Henry was down to earth, open, honest, and took the time to discuss the project in detail. You could tell he cared very much about his professional reputation and integrity. In a business where it can be difficult to trust what you will receive Henry was a breath of fresh air. Henry was ready to get his team started the next day, even on a holiday weekend, and his prices were a great value for the work and personal attention we received. Henry brought in a team of carpenters, painters, plumbers, and electricians over the next few weeks to complete a wide range of projects on our new home. Henry provided expert consultation on every step. No job was too small or too big. He treats his workers with respect and it is a family environment. In turn, his team cared very much about the craftsmanship and detail. They were on time, worked hard, and consulted us with questions. They made suggestions that improved the quality of the work. I was very impressed with the operation from start to finish. We are so happy to have found Sure Fix and have them as our go to company for any home project in the future. Henry (Sure-Fix) offers a range of crew diverse in all skills. His team is always punctual, kind, considerate, and treat you with the utmost respect. Henry's team completed my basement remodel and a kitchen lighting project. During both projects, they kept me updated every day with progress, challenges, and ideas. I feel they valued my opinion and offered guidance on accomplishing my ultimate vision. We have referred Sure-Fix to several neighbors; all whom were very pleased with their service, as well. Having recently moved to the Lehigh Valley, we are so pleased with choosing Sure-Fix with our remodeling project. Henry and his assistant Christy were great to work with. The crew was prompt, clean, hard working and respectful. The project included remodeling our master bath, updating another bath, putting hardwood floors in our bedroom and hallway and carpeting three bedrooms. We are so pleased with the quality of the work and we highly recommend.

Henry's crew built a great wooden deck in the rear of my home. His team was well supervised and every time I had even the smallest issue; he came over personally to remedy the situation. His pricing was fair, his quality of work was excellent, and we continue to enjoy the end result.

Great contractor!! Attention to detail and workmanship is exemplary. Tony the contractor spends a lot of time with his customers and will resolve any issue even if it has to be redone. I did a lot of research on my bathroom project and not only did the owner Henry offer a fair price for the labor but it was done properly and built to last. Best contractor in Hunterdon county.

Sure Fix Remodeling came into my life when my husband became ill & we were in need of a handicapped bathroom. The designer brought Henry & Tony in as her contractors. They were very professional and started tearing out the existing area, but unfortunately, my husband passed away 3 days later. They were very compassionate & left us alone through a week of our mourning period. They finished & it is beautiful & is a great asset to the house. I am enjoying it & I would not hesitate to call them for any projects I may have in the future.

We had our several decades old bathroom demolished to the studs and completely redone. Because of the age of the house we knew beforehand that we would have some plumbing and electrical challenges. Fortunately there were no real suprises at all! We really enjoyed working with them. Very nice people including their trades people. They were always reliable and professional. Any concerns we had were addressed no matter how small and they were always responsive to out texts and emails. We would definitely work with them again.

Working with Henry and the Sure-Fix team was a great experience. From the initial design help through to final finish work the work was timely and top notch. This was a full basement renovation and the room is now the preferred space to hang out! Highly recommended.
