Jim has been a blessing to us and we would recommend him to anyone needing remodeling or repairs in their home. Jim has been there for us and our family these last several years and helped us tremendously with our home projects- from small things such as installing appliances in our home to installing new windows on our whole house. We got to know Jim as a person and not just someone we’ve hired to do our home projects and renovations. Jim has dealt with tremendous personal obstacles in the past 3 years, from CANCER and radiation to numerous hospitalizations and surgeries that affected his daily health and deaths in his immediate family. Despite these things, Jim has worked tirelessly to complete projects at our home and our daughter’s home, and hasn’t let these obstacles keep him down. He’s beyond trustworthy, professional, and a master craftsman who is extremely detail-oriented. We like that Talon Construction is a small family owned business and you’re dealing directly with the owner. You’re not being passed on to someone who doesn’t know you or care about your family’s needs. Jim takes the time to check in with us and is great at responding to our emails or texts (my husband is partially deaf so that’s our preference) about project timelines, orders, and answers any questions we have along the way. While their crew is small, (generally 3-4 people), they provide MUCH better rates than a typical contractor. We’ve saved thousands versus having Home Depot or anyone else do our projects. My husband and I are retired and in our 70s. Our home improvement budget is only in the $15,000 range and with Talon we’re able stretch our budget to get a lot accomplished. Because of Jim and the time he’s spent looking for deals on windows, low-cost options on quartz countertops and installation, we’ve saved a lot of money. We’ve also had our own health issues and had to reschedule our installation with Jim several times, and he’s been extremely accommodating. We couldn’t ask for a better company to work with. Jim is our go-to guy for our entire family and we’d highly recommend him, not only because of the work he does, but because of the type of person he is.

Absolutely terrible. There is nothing nice I can say about Talon Construction. We hired them to refinish a home that was purchased as an investment property. I was told 4-6 weeks as a timeline, well, here we are 17 weeks later paying out thousands extra to fix and finish the "work" that was done. Jim the owner had a new sob story every single week and rarely checked in on the work being done on the property where he realized the crew wasn't actually getting the job done. He proceeded to fire them without a backup crew and we ended up having to bring in our own sub-contractors for the work we had signed a contract to agree to. When it came to getting new windows installed, Jim told us the company "lost" our entire order of windows and he would be reordering them. Well, that never happened and Jim has now lost the ability to answer our phone calls. I WOULD NEVER, EVER recommend letting these guys into your home, much less do any kind of work for you. IT WILL NOT GET DONE!!
