Tom Wilson

Tom Wilson, of Neighbours Renovation and Service was referred to me and I am so grateful! I hired Tom to repair deficiencies remaining from another design/contractor (whom I wish I could identify to warn people away from, but cannot at this time due to ongoing legal proceedings against them for breach of contract and overall poor workmanship). Tom, from Neighbours: Modified and installed a “wrongly-measured” tower cabinet. Found the cause of, and resolved a leak, as well as patched missing grout in our new shower. Repaired unsightly and rough drywall and repainted. Rectified an improperly connected and electrically hazardous ceiling fan, repaired and painted the ceiling. Identified the reason why my newly installed jetted/chromatherapy bathtub kept tripping the circuit breaker, then had an additional line and circuit breaker installed. Tom took the time to prep the rooms he painted with poly to protect the furnishings. Cleaned up in all the areas each day; and not just broom swept, but vacuumed using a shop vac. He completed all this in just two days and it looks amazing! I cannot say enough good things; Tom was polite, professional, and extremely proficient. I wish I had known about Neighbours Renovation and Service when this major project began. If you want a construction/renovation job done right and in a timely manner, hire Tom at Neighbours Renovation and Service.

Tom has done two projects for us - board on board wooden fencing in 2016 and a new two tiered deck in July 2017. He did an excellent job on both projects. His attention to finishing detail particularly with the deck and the use of a chevron pattern with the deck boards are attractive. The framing exceeded all building standards and the entire project was very professionally executed. Extras like hidden doors for storage have made the deck not only beautiful but also a very functional addition to our home and yard.

Tom was recommended to us by another trades person. He was very timely and courteous in providing an estimate for our work and when hired ensured the job was done to our satisfaction and in a qualitative way. The work involved deck restoration, replacement and upgrading. We were so happy with his work, we hired him for a second smaller job that was completed in the same high standard way he approached the first. Definitely will be using again.

Tom Wilson, the owner, did an amazing job for me building a deck, fence and walkway. He is a lovely young man with a great work ethic and superior knowledge. His work was of the highest quality done in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Tom for any job.
