Got my kitchen remodeled with Top Quality after my sister recommended them from a job done at her house. Top Quality Construction just completed a total bathroom remodel and a few smaller repairs at our house. The work was done as or better than promised/expected.

The company has a LOT of combined years of experience. They are very up front and fair on their pricing - no hidden costs, no haggling, which is great as you know exactly what you're getting into.

Strongly recommend against! Working with Vill and Top Quality Construction (TQC) was a true and unending nightmare. My contracted 4 month project to renovate my kitchen and bathroom took 14 months with TQC blaming COVID for their incompetence and inability to plan to move the project forward. Vill eventually quit the project, leaving me to find a new contractor to finish the window install he couldn’t figure out, contact inspection services to close out the permit which wasn’t done properly, and hiring additional contractors to fix the low quality of work which have caused numerous downstream problems. All in all, Vill didn’t plan properly, has no idea how to work in Boston, will mislead and often lie to you, and often acted like a child throwing a tantrum rather than a professional. Even with COVID mandated shut-downs of 3 months, the project took more than 7 extra months. Worse still, he could not ever give me an accurate timeframe. July move-in changed to August then Sept then Nov. “2-weeks” was constantly said and never right. Communication with Vill was a maddening full-time job. He would not answer calls or texts for days at a time and would never update on status unless he needed something (payment check or otherwise). His messages were typically angry, unprofessional, and focused on his personal issues rather than the project. He would only do work 1 step at a time. Once he would finish a step, he would panic and say I needed to order something with a long lead time or we’d have to wait to schedule the plumber or electrician despite my constant asks for next steps. Had he planned a step or 2 ahead, delays and shut-downs would have been far less frequent. Because he was disorganized and did not plan, he constantly made mistakes, put lights in the wrong place, forgot wiring, replaced framing he had previously demo’d, and other things requiring rework, preferring to do double the work to fix things rather than plan. The quality in the end was poor regardless of how it looked at finish. He installed the kitchen cabinets too close to the dishwasher so one drawer had to be cut shorter to fit, left wide unfinished gaps that let rodents come in, installed the dishwasher wholly incorrectly to where I had to hire someone to re-install, forgot to put in a fridge water line and said it wasn’t possible (it is), and much of the paint and edging on walls and floors is uneven due to rework and out of order approaches. At the end of the project he tried to hold me hostage at numerous times because I could no longer back out. The only reason the project finished was I filed a BBB complaint to get him to come back. Throughout, his behavior was erratic and offensive. He would get offended if I pushed back on any charges and once told me “You’re rich, you can afford it” and alternately calling me “cheap” for not agreeing to incremental charges. Being treated so poorly by someone you hired to support is unlike any other experience.

Vill was on time , on budget , efficient and always easy to get a hold of. Much more than we can say for our last contractor ! Would recommend Vill and Top Quality Construction highly for any remodeling project.

I used Top Quality Construction for 3 bathroom remodeling in my home and they did great work. It wasn't cheap but I loved the final product and the guys who were here in my home for 6 weeks were professional and courteous and thorough and did great tile and detail work. I then decided to use Top Quality Construction for more remodeling which included travertine flooring and woodwork and lighting in five rooms and decking and outdoor lighting and garage repair and even painting the exterior. Again I could've gone with a cheaper contractor but i really like the crews and the fact that they worked every day and did the job well. I think the important thing is to communicate clearly and continue to be clear about what you expect and then there are no surprises. This is the best construction company we have ever used. They are very talented, fair priced, clean and on time and budget. They did our master bathroom, a lot of complex tile work, painting, staining and our back deck. In about 6 -9 months we are having them do our addition. One of the most honest and trustworthy contractors that I have interviewed over the past 2 years. Villthe owner gave us a realistic estimate. Unlike other contractors he was honest with what we truthfully needed and he wasn't tacking on unnecessary work in-order to make money. I said estimate when I should of said price. He gave us a price and when unforeseen issues came up he took care of it, there was no surprise invoices. they remodeled my bathroom, replace my roof and did an excellent interior painting job. While we had worked with them on small projects before this was an architect designed project that was put out to bid. Top Quality Remodeling did a beautiful job updating our bathroom. It had not been touched since at least the sixties, so it was quite a bit more than an update! They did a great job helping us design, Vill was very good keeping us updated with emails detailing progress (we were out of town for most of construction.) They were realistic about time and were done quite close to what they estimated for budget and time to completion. We are extremely pleased with the result and would use them again for other projects.
