Michael Umphress has done multiple jobs at my 60 year old house. He did a beautiful tile floor in my kitchen. Additionally, he installed a new toilet, recessed medicine cabinet and new showerhead in my bath. He solved sprinkler issues that I was having in my yard and corrected a big problem I was having with water runoff from my gutters and standing water in my driveway. Michael never repairs a problem without first accessing the reason for the problem and correcting the underlying cause. Because of his thoroughness, the problem doesn't reoccur. He is a complete professional, and his work reflects the years of experience he has had.

Mike from Umphress Custom Construction has performed several small projects for us and two big projects. The first project Mike completed for us was remodeling our previously rottened out stand-up shower. He gutted the entire shower and created an elegant shower using travertine left over from a previous bathroom re flooring project (wish we had know Mike when we did that project.) Mike finished it off with custom tile cuts for design and built in soap/shampoo shelves also made from the travertine. We also hired Mike to convert our small "wet-bar" into a high-tech office nook space including hardwood floors and built-in desk and shelving. Mike is worth every penny, we highly recommend! Mike has worked many years for me. Doing= Wood floors, painting, removing popcorn, underpinning on house, plumbing, kitchen floor, tile bathroom, dry wall, counter top replacement and several odd jobs thru out the years. Mike is honest, does excellent work, cleans up after the job is done.
