Upright Remodeling

My husband and I recently contracted Upright Remodeling out of Plant City to complete a project for us. The project involved removing the wall which separated the kitchenette from the back room. This allowed for the lanai to be viewable from the kitchen and allowed the space for the kitchenette to be expanded. In addition, the wall which separated the living area from the kitchen was lowered. This provided the ability for a full view into the family room. The remodel also included removing existing tiles in the foyer, halls, laundry room, kitchen and kitchenette along with removing existing carpeting in the back room and some of the hallway. Over 1,100 sq ft of new ceramic tiles was installed . Plumbing and electrical were also required for this remodel project. My husband and I selected Upright Remodeling based on reviews that we had read and we are so VERY happy we made that decision. Upright came in and completed the work within approximately two months elapsed time. Please keep in mind that the guts of the work was completed within a total of approximately 21 calendar days. We were amazed at how thorough and effective in a quick period of time the work was done. The big delay was on our part (homeowners). We had contracted to have custom cabinets made with Medallion cabinetry and the cabinets originally came in the wrong color. UNBELIEVABLE! This caused a 5 week delay on our end. This had nothing to do with Upright. The tile work was completed with a total duration of 4 days and the work was done stupendously. I continue to get comments on the flooring. Upright’s workers were all professional and courteous. They were punctual and efficient to boot. I would use Upright again for remodel efforts moving forward. No questions asked. I am very pleased with my final product and glad that we selected Upright Remodeling.

We hired Upright to refurbish our office, after a happenstance meeting with Kris while waiting in line at Publix. I mentioned that my office was in need of an overhaul, and Kris mentioned that that was his company's specialty. We went back and forth on several ideas, and Kris was always ready to offer meaningful suggestions on what we could and could not do, based on our existing structure (a very old house transformed to an office). I appreciated the patience showed by Kris, and finally, my team agreed to a plan, and demolition and reconstruction began. What a great job these guys did!! I cannot speak highly enough about how professional and hardworking the Upright Remodeling team was. Our project had to take place in stages, and each completed stage just got us that much more excited about the end result. Bill was amazing at coming up with solutions to any challenge that arose (and we had many because of the age of our building). Upright has now completed our project, and the result is absolutely stunning- an amazing transformation! All that demolition and debris gave way to new walls, new offices, a new lobby, a new conference room, and lots of special touches and attention to detail in every step along the way. Thank you Kris and Bill (and everyone on your team) for all your hard work, professionalism and rapid responses to all our edits and changes. Hiring Upright was a far superior contractor experience than to anyone I've ever hired before, and when in the future I have another remodeling need, at home or at work, these will be the guys I will call on first. My 1970's house had it original bathrooms with yellow and blue tiles and low style cabinets. It was in bad shape in in great need of a full remodel. One of my co-workers recommended the Upright Remodel group because he recently had them remodel his bathrooms and he was extremely pleased with the work. Art Schauffert came to my home on a Saturday (when it was convenient for me) and provided me with guidance and recommendation on how to do the remodel. Art was great to work with and every phone call and email was answered immediately. The Upright remodeling team did spectacular job. The tile job is perfect not a single flaw anywhere. Wayne the plumber even came on Saturday in order to get one bathroom completed. All the contractors were clean and performed at the highest level of skill. I am ecstatic with how the Upright team performed my remodel. I am so pleased with the outcome that I plan to have them back to do my kitchen.

These guy are great! From the initial design process through to the finish product, they are fantastic professionals. My kitchen was really outdated and non-functional. It had low soffits and weird angles. Upright came in and drew up plans, brought out an architect to make sure we could rip out walls and the soffits, etc. Then came up with a complete plan to gut the kitchen and start from scratch. They worked with us on every step and helped to make some tough decisions. I grew to trust them completely. They were perfectionists, which I really appreciated. They were genuinely excited about the project and could not have been a nicer group of people to work with. My kitchen went from ugly and non-functional to a beautiful cool contemporary kitchen that I love using. They have since also renovated my guest bathroom, foyer, stairs. I have a long term plan for my home and they are going to be a big part of it.
