Vila Built, LLC is a full service design/build firm with offices in New York City and East Hampton, New York. Our firm is dedicated to and experienced in delivering the highest level of quality in home building and renovation. Our focus is directed towards providing clients with exceptional workmanship and flawless project management across all levels of renovations. Our approach brings together a talented group of people from architectural, planning, building trades and interior furnishings to provide a refined, heritage product with a high level of design and sophistication. Our Firm manages a wide range of projects, from custom homes built to exacting client specification to self-funded projects constructed to convey our own aesthetic. We handle gut renovations, additions, technology integration and upgrades, and historic renovations. Custom millwork, cabinetry and flooring are trademarks, as is a fresh-yet-timeless take on interior design. While specializing in high-end residential construction, Vila Built is dedicated to the integration of sustainable building practices to create a product that has minimal impact on the environment. While our projects are design minded, we approach them with an eye towards value engineering – both in construction and interior design – focusing on efficiency and cost control. We strive to provide our clients with homes with lower demand on natural resources, lower long-term home maintenance costs, and improved functionality. Vila Built is headed by Chris Vila. After graduating from Tufts University, Chris followed in the family footsteps and went to work in the New York City construction industry. He founded Vila Built in 2007 and has continued to build his roster of projects both in New York City and now on the East End of Long Island. Chris’ aesthetic expresses a warm, modern vision that stays true to the handmade feel that a home should have. His work is inspired by the mid-century era homes built by Richard Neutra, John Lautner and the Case Study homes begun in the mid nineteen forties. As both an avid outdoorsman and a passionate cook, Chris brings his understanding and appreciation of these areas to the form and function of his home design.
