We chose Randy (Wessman) to build a cabin for us in Plain Washington. Out of several contractors that responded to my request to build a brand new home….Randy responded with the best price and time line. He had also just completed our neighbors house a couple years earlier so I didn’t hesitate to ask them how they liked working with Randy. They said most certainly they would work with Randy Again and liked his workmanship, pricing, and flexibility. Wessman Construcion built our beautiful 1400 sq ft lofted cabin from ground breaking to move in about 6 months. There was never was a moment when a subcontractor team wasn't busy cranking out work on our cabin. Subcontractors commented that they had worked with Randy for years, liked working for him and respected his contracting relationship & integrity. His workmanship is top notch. Randy takes pride in his work and does much of the finish carpentry, flooring, tiling, etc himself. He also helps solve design problems that crop up from time to time. My Family, Friends, and neighbors have either visited our Cabin and or used it since completion and all have commented on how nice and cozy it is and how they really like the detailing and workmanship. This is the second remodel we got from Randy and crew and couldn’t be happier. First time was a kitchen remodel that totally transformed our ‘80’s split level. Randy has been an absolute pleasure to work with! He took over a project (foundation and plans were done by a different contractor) that required a fair amount of change and flexibility to the existing plans. He was very timely and always on top of scheduling subs to ensure the upmost efficiency. This project was completed in the middle of COVID which also created numerous obstacles of which were dealt with in a very efficient and professional manner. Randy and his crew completed each phase of construction with great attention to detail and at a very fair and honest price. We made some changes mid stream which required additional flexibility and additional costs. These costs were relayed ahead of time and were very transparent. With this being our first build, Randy made very good suggestions and gave a different perspective, of which made our decisions a lot easier and a better end product. After completion, we moved in and had several small adjustments/fixes which were all completed in a timely manner! Most importantly Randy is transparent, HONEST, and Trustworthy! We would highly recommend Randy and Wessman Construction.

Wessman Construction completed our large attached garage addition. I appreciate how thorough and professional Randy was. He did what he said, was always on time (it was obvious that he is very careful on his planning, and the expectations he sets), and delivered a quality product. I especially appreciate all the extra attention and suggestions he gave. As the project progressed, he was bringing up little details with suggestions on how to improve...and if he ran into complications, he just dealt with it. It was a pleasure working with Randy, and we are very happy with our new garage. I highly recommend Randy and Wessman Construction.

Very disappointed in Randy and his work. I spent over $350,000 on my project ($57,000 for his labor and to oversee) and I am now having to pay another contractor to come fix his poor work. My whole kitchen had to be regrouted. The grout started chipping away almost immediately. Also my guest bathroom tiles have lifted and need to be regrouted. All the tile work was done uneven. The hardwood floors his brother-in-law installed weren't done properly. He blamed them on being a floating floor but I've never seen floors do this before. I have large gaps throughout my house and cracks between the wall and the floorboard where you can see the shine of the layer underneath. In my hallway there is a very noticeable dip in the floor when you walk. Honestly there is so much wrong with my house it is very disappointing. The list goes on. When I asked him to fix these issues he told me since it's been 3-4 years he doesn't feel he should have to. I feel if a contractors work is only good for that time frame then they are not a quality contractor. Save yourself money and do not hire him.

Randy and crew have been a pleasure working with to build our dream home! We were out of the area during construction and Randy was great at keeping us updated on the progress, frequently sending us pictures and videos. We trusted him to guide us through this home building journey and he delivered!! From the design process to the carpet choice Randy was available to provide expert guidance through it all. We LOVE the unique custom touches he does in each house and our guests are always wowed by the awesome reclaimed pallet wall and live edge fireplace mantel and desk he supplied. We highly recommend Randy to anyone looking for a great contractor with unique design skills and are so happy we chose him!

*Covered deck for new hot tub* Plus island remodel Randy has done two projects for us. First, We wanted an extension to our existing deck that would support a hot tub and be covered to match the pitch on our existing roof...not a simple project. We had another contractor turn the project down. Randy accepted the challenge and spent a lot of time making sure we got exactly what we wanted. He like to incorporate wood, so he gave us a clear pine T&G ceiling and closed out the sides in raw edge cedar. Beautiful! We were concerned about space on the side of our house and headroom with the roof extension. Randy figures out how to cut the existing deck to add two steps down that shortened the length while giving us the headroom we needed. Genius! After he finished that project, we hired him and his son Christian to replace our boring Formica bar on our island with a live edge slab and reface the drywall island with pallet wood. I wish I had before and after photos, but I don’t. The difference is so dramatic! That project was done very quickly and very reasonably! My sister in law wants one now too! We’ll be hiring Randy for our next home project. He’s honest, easy to work with, professional, thinks through all the details, and is a perfectionist!

We met Randy Wessman as he was finishing up another home in our area. We bonded instantly with him and we knew we wanted the father and son team of Wessman Construction to build our home. It was an excellent decision. From start to finish, Randy and his son Christian provided quality work. Randy helped us to place our home on the lot to maximize the view. Then the exciting phase of construction began. Soon excavation, foundations, and framing were underway. Randy communicated with us throughout making sure we were satisfied. As work progressed on the house, we were so pleased that Randy continued to stay in communication with us. He was involved through all phases of construction. We found this to be very helpful and reassuring. Randy worked hard to help us stay within our budget while still providing the “cute” factor in our craftsman style home. He went the extra mile to find the best quality materials to ensure that the home was well built and attractive and yet he always consulted with us if the materials were over budget. The attention to detail shows in every aspect of the construction. Randy had multiple suggestions that added to the uniqueness of the home and was always willing to incorporate design improvements. The lovely archways, overhead shelves, specialized trim, bead board installation, wonderful quartz countertops, beautifully wrapped windows, meticulous tile work, and a gorgeous deck showcased the multiple talents of Randy and Christian. Wessman construction provided a home much nicer than we ever envisioned. The personal finish work resulted in special touches that made this the home of our dreams. We value the integrity that Wessman construction provided. Honesty, care, and craftsmanship were integral to the success of this project. We highly recommend Wessman construction to anyone wishing to build their home.
