Can’t say enough good things about Andrew at WillowTree. From the beginning he was realistic about scope and deadlines, and his billing included explanations for every charge. His work and the work his subs did were excellent. Very happy with WillowTree and would recommend Andrew for any reno project you’re considering.

Working with Andrew and Willowtree Construction was such a wonderful experience. We did a complete renovation of our townhouse and Andrew made a huge upheaval of our lives go as smoothly as possible. We are confident that all the work done was completed with integrity and quality. We sleep much better knowing our home is safe. Andrew made making difficult decisions about design or necessity much easier by providing a few options. His trades he works with are a top notch and we had full confidence in their work too. One of my neighbours in our townhouse complex in North Vancouver, underwent a major renovation with Willowtree Construction, which included extensive work at removing load bearing walls, plumbing and heating changes to provide for a "open" living concept to the kitchen, dining and living areas. I was thoroughly impressed with the level of work completed by Willowtree and based on their performance, I hired Willowtree to do a major cosmetic refit to our 40 year old townhome. This involved installing a new ceiling drywall to cover the stucco ceiling, new fireplace, removing a non-load bearing wall and building beautiful backyard planter boxes. Naturally costs are always a focal point, to which they found creative ways to save money for example; removing 40 years of paint around our front entrance interior window frames, to expose the beautiful Fir wood hidden underneath. This magically transformed our front door hallway into a true west coast experience, which was exactly the look we wanted to achieve! Other key aspects of their workmanship, was that they ensured that all the demolition debris was taken away quickly so that we did not have a messy front entrance for us and our neighbours. Further their craftsmanship and creativity were fantastic and provided excellent feedback on my ideas as what would or would not look good, which save me a lot of money by not needing to hire an interior designer, which can add $1000's to a project. Overall I have to say WOW in terms of the end result and highly recommend Willowtree Construction to any home owners who wants reliable, timely and skilled craftsman to work on their home. I've used Andrew and Willowtree Construction for two projects now - a bathroom reno, and finishing on an attic. The bathroom was phenomenal! He took a decades-old, grungy bathroom, stripped it right back to the studs, and rebuilt it to my design, making excellent modifications along the way. It went from an 1980's nightmare to a cool 2010's addition in just a handful of days. Terrific work. The budget on the bathroom went up due to some unforeseen circumstances (asbestos in the mud) so the hours went up from the initial estimate. Not Andrew's fault, and he was honest and up front about it. The attic was a less glamourous, but still very important, project. We have a walk-in attic over our garage that we have used as storage, but because it was vented to the outside, it was cold storage. Andrew came in and laid in all new air channeling, insulation, and drywall to make the attic snug, dry, and warm. He even thoughtfully installed new utility lighting without being asked - nothing fancy, but a great touch, and didn't affect the price. On both projects he was courteous, HIGHLY responsive (very important to me that people respond when I send messages), and stayed on budget. He was careful to work as cleanly as possible with minimal interruption to life in the household. He hired subs that I felt comfortable having in my home, and were also polite to my family as we lived around their work. He accepted my design input on both projects, while providing smart feedback and ideas. On both projects, he ran slightly longer than he predicted, but I don't mind in the slightest - I would prefer a contractor spend the extra time to do a project correctly rather than rush it and leave me with an incomplete or poorly done job. He did not bill me for the extra time on either, so other than a minor continued disruption for having him on site a little longer, there was no impact to us at all. The quality of work on both projects is great, and I have no cause for complaint. Andrew is plainly concerned with doing a job correctly above all else. I've used Willowtree twice now and have every intent of hiring them again should we need more work done in the future. Great job!!!
