I had an opportunity as Owners Representative | Project Manager to work with Mike and Mike between late 2019 and year end 2021, as AAA Development, Inc. came highly recommended by a trusted friend in business as the General Contractor to build 2 high end custom homes under a construction agreement in Santa Barbara CA. Despite facing uncertainty in terms of business continuity at the onset of the pandemic, combined with supply chain concerns Mike and Mike brought the projects in on time and on budget with no Contractor caused change orders. The homes constructed are of the highest quality in design, materials and finish; and I'm definitely looking forward to our next project together.

AAA Development is highly cooperative and has top quality construction expertise, which was critical in helping us to assess buying a vacation house to renovate or build new on an empty lot. We preferred to purchase an already suitable property, but the potential to team with them gave us the confidence to pursue the options for doing major renovate or building new. They put in the time and effort to make assessments even though we were still only shopping for the right property. their input really helped us to make the right decision. In the end, we purchased a property located outside of their practical work region. We were disappointed that we ended up without a need to hire them.

As an owners rep, I was fortunate to work with the AAA development team in new construction of two estate lot residences in Santa Barbara. Their level of expertise delivered on time and on budget results with very high quality craftsmanship and finishes in these high spec homes. Management during the pre-construction, construction and post construction phases was very thorough and excellent. We chose AAA Development for a complete remodel and addition of a master bedroom and bath. Mike and Mike are one of the best contractors in the ventura / LA region! I have worked with them on a project that has been on going for a while, and they always remember all the design selections we have chosen no mater the length of time that has passed. Last year I hired Mike Seay & Mike Hansen from AAA to remodel our condo in Hollywood Beach. Could not have been happier. I have been involved with a lot of construction projects over the years, and nothing drives me crazier than contractors nickel and diming on change orders. Did not have that problem with "the Mikes", and the quality of the work was great. Afterwards a few things came up and even though they were off the project and fully paid, they showed up promptly and took care of the issues. Good, honest guys - and highly recommend them.

There are so many great things to say about the Mike & Mike team! Owners, Mike Seay and Mike Hansen are double the expertise and have been a great resource for our luxury architecture + design firm for 5+ years now. Their construction bids are competitive and accurate, two main points we look for in a construction company. The AAA Development team keeps to a precise budget and scheduling of materials is done with ease and professional experience. The entire construction team has great attitudes and is always pleasant to work with. Mike, Mike and their construction supervisor, Gary show up on time, ready to work and remain on schedule. They always have someone at their job site for questions and oversight. Many of the details listed may seem as if they are common sense, but finding this type of quality for a construction company is not common and we applaud AAA Development for operating a professional, experienced trustworthy company!

In 2012, we were looking for a contractor for the construction of a 700+ sq. ft. family room, sitting room, master bedroom remodel, and 400 sq. ft. patio. After meeting with three contractors, we took a leap of faith and contracted AAA Development to take on the project. No regrets! We were so pleased with AAA that we have had them back twice. In 2015 for the remodel of the master bathroom and in 2016 for the remodel of the upstairs bathroom and three bedrooms, a complete remodel of the kitchen, and living room. We were very pleased with the work crews, the cabinet maker, and subcontractors, all very professional. All projects were finished on time and on budget! We have one more final project and you can bet we will be working with AAA Development again! Mike Hansen and Mike Seay are two of the finest gentlemen we have had the pleasure of working with; they are honest, trustworthy and always professional.

A favorite client of mine selected AAA to build their tenant improvement (which had many high end, custom detailed moments). Not only was their craftsmanship and budgeting top notch, but their customer relations/communications made the collaboration between architect, client and builder smooth as silk. My design firm collaborated with AAA Development on a recent remodel and had a very positive experience. Not only were they extremely professional, but also efficient and attentive to detail. AAA's team was also highly skilled and easy to work with. The project was completed on schedule and our client was very satisfied with their work. We hope to work with AAA soon!

I hired AAA Development to do some work to my house in June 2016. The entire front porch was sinking in and the carport needed to be completely replaced due to termite damage. They meet with me on time, explained everything in detail and had a variety of recommendations to complete the project within my budget. The remodel looked great with only a few problems when finished. Contractor never came back to complete project. One year later molding fell off on kitchen cabinets. Outside doors look ten years old with paint chipping badly. New dishwasher was put in wrong and had to be replaced as was leaking over new wood flooring. Project took well over 9 months to complete what should have been a 3 month job. At first I was very happy with contractor but as time went on they were impossible to get them to finish or come back and take care of problems.

When we were searching for a contractor for an addition to our 100 year old bungalow. I first went to friends and family for referrals. Unfortunately, none of these worked out. So I searched on Houzz and decided to contact AAA Development. From our first meeting I liked Mike Seay and was thankful that the project bid was within reason and we were able to work together. We just completed the project and are very happy with the results. I would recommend them for the following reasons: quality workmanship; good management of budget; very responsive to the inevitable problems that arise; and pleasant people to work with. AAA Development is our contractor of choice for any future projects ! Mike Seay scoped the job, offered suggestions and presented a reasonable detailed estimate within a day or two of us meeting. AAA completely renovated two bathrooms, built and installed a custom open shelved pantry and upgraded our electrical panel. On the first day of construction, Mike Seay arrived on time and personally introduced us to his wonderful team, Linarosa, Project Manager, Gary, Construction Manager, Donovan and Johnny. Their core staff and sub-contractors were professional, personable and customer oriented to the nth degree! Our bathrooms are gorgeous, we love the pantry and we no longer have problems with electricity tripping in the house. Once, job was completed they followed-up with us to ensure we were completely satisfied with renovations. Yes, indeed!

Mike Seay at AAA Development first remodeled our two main bathrooms about 10 years ago. He was recommended by a friend. We were impressed with his itemized bid and his change order process. That level of financial and process transparency were key to selecting him as our contractor. The bathrooms are beautiful and exactly as we wanted them. We wanted him to work on both of our bathrooms at the same time, and he moved very quickly because we were showering at the gym and at work. When we wanted to remodel our kitchen, we asked Mike to bid on the process. For many reasons we selected him as our contractor: financial transparency, arranging for all the sub-contractor work himself (instead of us having to work with a cabinet maker separately), reasonable cost. Again, we love our new kitchen. The workmanship is great. Mike was completely happy to do some unconventional things for us, like creating an open pantry without cabinet doors. One of the other bidders told us we wouldn't like it, but we do like it! Now Mike is working on our backyard. We interviewed several landscape contractors and other contractors to redo our backyard. After not finding anyone we liked, we asked Mike for a bid on repairing the patio cover, removing all the existing hardscape, and pouring us a new patio. His bid was completely reasonable. We just trust Mike now. You know how you sometimes get cold calls from people who want to work on your house. I always reply now, "Thanks, but I already have a contractor!"

I have worked with AAA Development for over 5 years as a supplier. I have been on many of their jobsites and they are all run exceptionally. I also work with their clients to select products and they are always happy with the work that Mike and MIke at AAA do and usually refer them to their friends and family, which is the best way to know a client was thrilled with them. They do jobs that range from small remodels in Ventura and Camarillo to high end custom work in Westlake, Santa Barbara and the Palisades. It is also a bonus that these guys are such great people in general and will go the extra mile to make sure you are happy with your project and it is finished in a timely manner and on budget. We hired AAA Development to add a second story to our one-story house, roughly doubling the size of the house and requiring changes to the foundation, existing walls, existing ceilings, and effectively the complete removal and replacement of the existing roof, wiring, plumbing, and HVAC. The job was scheduled for a six-month period. Despite a number of changes (initiated by us), the project came in on-time and within the revised budget. Mike and Mike, the owners of AAA, were easy to work with. They clearly explained what to expect from each stage of the project, when we could expect work to be completed, handled various small problems that arose during the project, and offered us options for changes that fit our budget and the comfort and utility we were looking for in our house. They regularly provided a worksheet that not only showed the budget for each block of work, but also indicated how it was progressing and whether it had been completed, and even clearly showed their profit margin for our inspection. We've been back in the house for nine months now. A few problems have appeared, and AAA has cheerlyfully arrived to deal with them, at no additional charge to us. We love our rennovation and are finally starting to get used to all the additional space and the great views we have from the second story. We've even started talking about hiring AAA again for a few small projects that we omitted the first time (for budget reasons), such as re-doing our fireplace mantel. Thanks, AAA!

Bathroom remodel. Mike Seay, a principal at AAA Development, was recommended to us. He came out, scoped out the job and gave us a bid. We liked him and the bid. They scheduled us and arrived as promised. They cleaned up after every day's work. We've already recommended them to friends.

AAA did a bathroom remodel (after a slab leak), repaired drywall, built/installed a new hallway linen closet,a fireplace makeover AND a full kitchen gut / remodel in my home. I am very pleased with the result! I found Mike Seay to be very reliable, trustworthy and honest. His cabinet maker (also a Mike) is an excellent craftsman and is also very reliable & flexible. Mike S., his crew and subcontractors really helped make a stressful situation (living in a house being remodeled) tolerable.

I hired Mike Seay and Mike Hansen, owners of AAA DEVELOPMENT, INC. shortly after my original contactor walked off the job. He did so five months after I signed a $25,000.00 contract with him to remodel my master bathroom and only minutes after I refused to pay him the additional $20,000.00 he said he needed to complete my job. He explained that he had used the money I had given him to complete other jobs. As a result of the complaint I filed with the Contractor's Licensing Board, my first contractor's license has since been been revoked. Needless to say, I was very leary about the completion of my bathroom by ANY contractor. However, Mike Seay and his partner Mike Hansen, owners of AAA DEVELOPMENT INC. in Camarillo, California, and their entire "team" of professional plumbers, painters, electricians, solid stone cutters/installers, floor layers, etc. etc., restored my faith in their profession(s). They completely inspected everything done by the prior contractor, finding live electrical wires in the sheetrocked walls and improper waterproofing of the shower with plumbing that did not meet code. Had those conditions not been discovered and corrected they could have resulted in an electrical fire and would have resulted in mold growth inside the shower walls with resulting health risks. I can't begin to explain my respect for and gratitude to AAA DEVELOPMENT. INC., for their skill, honesty, amazing work ethic and collection of professional tradesmen all of whom embody their skill and professionalism in the work they do for AAA DEVELOPMENT, INC. They replaced my fear of using my master bathroom with a certainty it was safe to do so and that everything had now been completed with skill and mastery. They respected my time and were on the job early every morning, working a full day, every day. They took the time to explain what they were doing and why it needed to be done and gave me options whenever possible. They protected my wood floors and carpeting, put up heavy gauge plastic to envelope the work area and contain as much dust as possible and they even cleaned my floors every day to make sure that any dust and dirt tracked in would not damage my floors. However, of prime importance to me, unlike my first contractor, the management of AAA DEVELOPMENT,INC. and their employees, respected my concern for the safety of my two juvenille German Shepherds (one of which will follow her "sister" anywhere and the other which has no knowledge or fear of cars.) The employees of AAA DEVELOPMENT, INC. made sure all outside doors were closed and/or "my girls" were contained behind baby gates I erected, whenever there was a possibility they could escape from the house. I feel privileged to have this opportunity to review AAA DEVELOPMENT, INC. knowing that by so doing, I may be able to save others from the horrific experience I had with my first contractor and giving me another opportunity to thank Misters Seay and Hanson and their remarkable collection of professionals for my AMAZING bathroom.
