Mr. Tradito, thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your experience with Adele Designer Homes, and I am very sorry that it did not work out with us moving forward together. While I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion, I also feel it is necessary to share our side as well and what we observed.

Specifically you omitted in your review that you took it upon yourself to clear the vacant lot without permits or permission from the City of St Augustine. This resulted in Code Enforcement opening up a case, which prevented ADH as the contractor from being able to obtain the necessary permits to start construction until you paid the necessary fines.

In addition to the lot clearing violations, there were multiple appointments you simply did not show up to (or at a minimum, cancel in advance), which we had specifically scheduled with our trade partners to make time out of their day for. We sent repeated calls, texts, and e-mails with questions regarding the plan design that you were also unresponsive to.

Regarding our design selections, we work with professional interior designers & laborers and offer a wonderful design studio to make the selection process as exciting and enjoyable an experience for our clients. We do recognize on occasion though, that sometimes our clients want to select outside of our design center, and we are able to accommodate that as well. Specifically in your situation, we stated in writing that you could source your own material if you like, however you never provided us with what you wanted to use.

Finally you claim that we were unresponsive to your requests, however at the time of you posting this on 1/28/25, we responded to your email as recently as yesterday (1/27). Your email stated you want to sell your lot now and even indicated that someone might want to use the plans we designed for you for the home site. However the post you left shared you just want to find another builder, which is certainly your choice, but that is not what you shared with us.

Again, my intent is not to argue and debate who is right and who is wrong. Sometimes a client and a builder are simply not the best fit for each other, and we understand. That being said, for anyone reading this, I would like to express that communication and transparency are vital in the building process, and we do strive to make our clients happy and enjoy a wonderful experience with us. I would be happy to talk about this review to anyone that inquires as well so we can continue to improve our company and services for the families we build for.
