Absolutely the best experience we have had with a builder! We have built 4 previous homes and have never had the confidence or great experience as we did on our current home with Babb Custom Homes. Charlie and his team are not only focused on doing everything right, on budhget and on time, they go one step further to ensure it meets all your expectations. More impressive is the instantaneous response to any issues (during the build or after move in, as minor as they were) that we identified - they normally responded the same day! Charlie and his entire team take pride in what they do and it shows both in the deliverable and the customer interaction - just an absolute professional, engaging and enjoyable team that works to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Of all the contractors we have used over the years, both for building new homes and for remodeling existing homes, Babb is simply the best we've ever used. These folks do beautiful, quality work. We had been in the construction field of work owning our own business back in Greensboro, NC until we retired and moved to North Myrtle Beach back in 2003. We purchased and existing home at first then decided to purchase land and build the home we wanted. We purchased a waterway lot and got 3 different bids. Mr. Babbs quote was in the middle of the other 2 but after speaking with other homeowners and seeing his work we new from past experience that he did not cut corners. We would recommend Babbs to anyone considering building a home in this area. The best recommendation we could give him is if we were to build another home in this area we would not even get another bid we would go to Babbs only.

We contracted with Babb Custom Homes to build our retirement home at the beach. The construction took place while we were living in Atlanta. Charlie Babb and his entire team were an absolute dream to work with during the process! Charlie was personally involved in every phase of the project. When we were looking for a builder in 2010, we were referred to Charlie Babb, Babb Custom Homes. We met with Charlie, discussed what we wanted and needed. We thought we had a plan to work from, but found out there was only a picture of the home. Charlie had us look online at several plans and we finally agreed on a plan. When we had the blueprints, he sat down with us and discussed all. We made several changes and then started. Having some problems with the size and lot size, he had as assistant sit with us and again made some modifications. He worked diligently with both the developer and local officials to get us the house we wanted. He also referred us to various suppliers to get the best price for the materials we wanted. He was there at least once a day throughout the construction of the home and met with us as we requested. One day I requested an 8am meeting and got there at 7:45 to review my questions. He was already there with his pad and pencil making notes. His office staff were also great and very responsive to our needs. The house was completed on time and within budget. This is our 3rd house that we have had built. The prior 2 we had significant punch lists, with Charlie I had 2 minor items on it. Even after we moved in, when we had questions or needed something, he was there. I see Charlie and his crew frequently and he always asks how the house is and if we needed anything. We got a great house at a very reasonable price, far better than the other builders I evaluated could have done.

Building a home with Babb Custom Homes was a joy! We were completely satisfied with the entire process and have enjoyed our home for nearly three years without a single issue! Entire staff and contractors were very professional.

Charlie and his crew are great builders. Professional, accurate, disciplined, hard working and responsive. They built a very solid solid home for me, built to fortified standards. The construction quality is excellent. The timeline was as promised and the follow-up has been great. My home also has a full basement, built with prefabbed insulated, waterproofed wall sections that not only added sq. ft but also had improved my heating and cooling efficiency lowering my monthly electrical costs. Babb Custom Homes is building a wonderful house for us on the beach. I am an engineer and understand construction. I have built two homes and done major remodeling to two others.
