My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

About Us

A philosophy of life . . . Like you, my family loves the Pacific Northwest (including the family dog & cat), and my wife, Jamie, and I are passionate about this place where our children (Noah, Logan, & Aislinn) grow and learn. We live on a small farm set against the backdrop of the Cascade Mountains and spend much of our time raising and growing our own food — Scottish Highland Cattle, ducks, and chickens as well as gardens and fruit trees. These are the fixtures of our landscape, and from them emerges our passion for hard work, beauty, and sustainability. These are also the fundamentals of Big Mountain Construction (BMC). Big Mountain Construction is committed to meet the unique and imaginative needs of our clients. Be it a peaceful artist’s retreat; a Mountain lodge; a carefully crafted one room, island getaway; or a elegant dream home overlooking the Bay, we look forward to working with you! We have worked with Big Mountain Construction on the permitting side for a number of their projects providing Stormwater Engineering and they have always been great to work with. Their sites are always clean, the process always goes smooth, and most importantly, their client's are always pleased with the results of their work!

We interviewed several builders prior to selecting Big Mountain. We called their references. But, after visiting several Big Mountain homes our choice was clear! Aaron Sanday owner of Big Mountain and his remarkable crew truly care! Their homes are custom from beginning to end. They take real pride in their precision, artistic, quality work. Unlike the horror stories we’ve heard from others, Aaron is amazing at keeping on track, solving any problems, as they occur with skill, creativity and a laid-back, comforting demeanor that calms the worst of homeowners worries! The end product is breathtaking! Quality, quality, quality!!!

Aaron and his crew did a wonderful job on our Kitchen remodel. The end result by far exceeded our expectations. The Kitchen is now our favorite room in the house and gets many compliments. Aaron had his crew here every day on time and always kept us in the loop on what was going on. I will recommend Big Mountain Const. to anyone wanting to remodel or build. We did not have any negative experiences like we have had in the past with other contractors. I look forward to working with Big Mtn again in the future when we do our addition.

My project was unique in being the ground floor is all work / studio space and the home and living areas are all on the second story. We had extremely tight budget, and I proposed many changes along the way, and yet Aaron was able to make it work and the result was more spectacular than I ever imagined. Our home is soundly and solidly built with great attention to detail. If I had it to do over again I would hire Aaron without a second thought.

My husband and I really enjoyed working with Aaron Sanday and his crew on our new, much smaller home. I am a retired interior designer so I was quite involved during the construction and we got along very well. Aaron and his workers were very friendly and open to suggestions throughout construction.
