From start to completion, Brian and his team of contractors did a most superb job. At times it was very difficult, and aggravating to get materials in these Covid/ Supply Chain times! I recently completed my second home custom home designed and built by BRIMCO Builders. We started designing in 2019 and kicked off our building process in January of 2020. We built a 3000 sq foot home in the middle of a global pandemic!!!! We went through all the shut downs (literally Beaufort shut their streets to non residents), delay in materials, incredible material price increases, labor shortages, COVID taking down crews and even loosing a few. It’s was challenging but executed despite all the above within 10% of budget and on the time! I never thought that would be possible but they did it!!! David Smith was the lead on my house and implementing the amazing plans designed by the owner Brian Deanhardt. I made changes almost daily, they recommended changes due to material costs and procurement delays almost weekly to keep things moving and in budget. Working together we got it finished and it is beyond everything I dreamed for. David Smith has a work ethic like no other. His communication skills and positive attitude always could put a smile back on my face. He is fast with questions and can facilitate any situation with grace. I get stopped daily with compliments on my home and even still 5 months since I got in, Brimco is still at the house often working through fine tuning tweaks you never notice till after the fact. That factor alone is what makes Brimco special and different in carteret county. Brimco doesn’t just build a home, they continue to stand by their properties and treat each house like their own, making sure their customers are happy long after you get your CO.

My wife, Debbie and I have always built our own homes for most of our lives, and we have built quite a few over the years. So when we were ready to retire and build a home on Harkers Island, 600 miles from were we lived at the time, finding someone who we felt comfortable with to take the job was a little concerning to say the least. We met several builders but the minute we met Brian and he began to show us what he does, we knew we had found that right person, which is so much more important then just finding a builder, to do the job for us. He helped us design the house, listened to our every concern but more importantly he listened to what we were dreaming to create in our home. His attention to detail, the people he surrounds himself with to do the work, just makes a perfect team. The home came together absolutely perfectly, we could not be happier. He is without a doubt a builders builder and a man of integrity. If you are looking for a builder, save yourself the time and just go talk with Brian, we promise you will not regret it. When we first started to look for someone to build our dream house, we met with Brian Deanhardt of Brimco builders and felt that we had found the right one. He is extremely knowledgeable about the planning for, and the construction of coastal houses in North Carolina. He helped us focus on the right home for us. He was able to adapt our ideas into a working plan as well as enhance them for both practicality and beauty. We will always remember his comment when we were still planning, “I’ll make it look beautiful for you”. That is exactly what he did now that the house is complete. Brian was very committed to satisfy our wishes, but we appreciated his suggestions when our ideas proved impractical. He sets a very high bar on the quality of the house he builds, even to the small details. The high quality building materials that he used included mostly green/healthy components like Greengard certified drywall and low VOC paints. We especially liked his flexibility and willingness to help with our requests and change orders. When he had to tell us that our choice of flooring material would not work for coastal houses, he went out of his way to help us find the specialty flooring material we wanted and was able to negotiate a great price for it. He only uses high quality hurricane screen on the porches. He helped us purchase all the specific appliances which we wanted, including items that are not normally included. We had chosen a specific range hood, but Brian was able to find a better system that was less expensive. With his help, we were able to get the house of our dreams with everything we wanted, but still stay within our budget. All in all, we can’t say enough how much we appreciate Brian’s help and expertise. We would highly recommend Brimco Builders to anyone who wants to build a high quality and beautiful home.

Brian is an incredibly talented builder. He's more than a builder he' also a complete home designer as well. His finished work shows perfection in many areas of his homes. When we met Brian it was easy to see that he had the ability to create plans and modify designs to sometimes difficult lot and zoning conditions, especially like our home at the beach on a small restricted lot. Now completed we are extremely pleased with Brimco's work and wouldn't consider another builder in the area.

Brimco / Brian, built us a great cottage. When we began our search for plans, we had ideas and Brian showed several alternatives for our home. We settled on a plan and immediately asked him to expand the width 6 feet. He was patient and answered our questions throughout the process. His attention to detail and quality workmanship throughout the build have been stellar. His subs provide quality products and workmanship and work tirelessly through change orders and overages (my fault). I’d highly recommend Brian, David / Brimco (and have) for new builds and major remodels.
