We were referred to Cherokee by our architect, himself a prominent architect with expertise in restoration of older Philadelphia homes. We received three bids for the 18 month project, restoration of a 1929 home in Bryn Mawr. The job was complex and involved lowering a floor, matching stone masonry on walls and an addition, adding air conditioning, new heating and completely renovating 9 bathrooms, the kitchen, and all floors and surfaces in the home. Cherokee had weekly meetings which included us, the design team and when necessary, major subcontractors, as the job progressed. Responses to questions were immediate. Estimates, change orders and draw requests were always tendered with appropriate backup and on a timely basis. We had no surprises! Well, the house itself offered up a few, but none from Cherokee. We have done at least three other major projects before, but this was the most professionally handled project we have ever experienced. We still call Cherokee with questions, additional work and just to stay connected. I would not consider going elsewhere for a construction contractor.
