We recently purchased a home that was a David Weekley Premier home - it was built 7 years ago. Now, a few months after the purchase, we have realized some of the massive shortcuts they took on the house. They put in the absolute lowest quality water pipes possible that you usually only see in mobile homes. Also, we were having A/C issues and called our A/C guys out to check it. We had 3 A/C companies come out and all three said that both A/C units were undersized. For the one unit that was having the biggest problems, the A/C companies all recommended a unit double the size - 2 ton was what Weekley installed and a 4 ton is what was needed for the square footage. Another issue that has also cropped up is how hot the attic is and it turns out no ridge vents were ever installed and there is not enough ventilation to pass muster. Very sad that they call themselves a "Premier" builder. This was not a cheap home when it was built and not a cheap home when we purchased it. Be careful using this builder as they obviously cut every corner possible. No telling what we haven't found yet!

We bought a David Weekley home 11/30/20. The home is now approximately 2 years old. 3 months into our ownership we noticed the tile in the master bath cracking in a straight line directly under the master bath window. DW told us it was a cosmetic issue with the tiles and not covered by the warranty. Approximately 3 months later we notified them of the crack extending. Again, they told us it was cosmetic and not covered by the warranty. The crack has now reached the floor of the master bath. DW came out with a team and took the SIDING of my house off to look at the INTERIOR problem. They took an approximate 12 inch by 12 inch section of plywood off under the siding and put a level on the interior wall. They then put siding back on my house. They then sent me a letter saying that the problem is not structural. So, instead of repairing the tile, they have now created an additional problem outside my house. Do not build with David Weekly. This is how amateurs approach a pretty simple problem.

I would like to share my horrible experience with Allied Stone & David Weekley Homes, I recently bought a new house from David Weekley Homes which used the 'Allied Stone' company to install the countertops & kitchen island. Within a week after moving into the new house the Seam on the kitchen Island started developing cracks and the joints started breaking apart. We contacted David Weekley warranty and they in turn contacted 'Allied stones' for fixing the issue.
'Allied Stone' addressed the issue and closed it after just applying some sealant to the seam, but in a week's time, the same issue at the same spot started appearing again. Once again we contacted the warranty team and after multiple follow-ups, with them, they took efforts to find out the reason for the issue. The reason being that the seam on the island is placed right above the dishwasher and due to the dishwasher's heat the seam gets expanded which results in the joints breaking apart.
After a long wait time 'Allied Stone' came with a solution saying that the island size needed to be reduced so that they could install the island without a seam. In order to do that they came up with a few oversized stone options which demanded us to bear an additional cost as the new options were not at the same level as what I currently have for my island. I am wondering why I need to pay additional money to correct their mistake.
Even after paying an upgraded price for the quartz stone with the builder, due to their mistake with the island design and with the stone installation, I ended up with no option other than losing 12" of my island size and on top of it the additional cost for the new stone option. This issue has been going on for more than 4 months now and we have become tired of following up and waiting on them so long. Ideally, by this time we should have been enjoying the new house but this issue has left us with no peace of mind. If there is an option for zero stars, I would give that to both 'David Weekley Homes' and 'Allied Stones' for the way they are handling the issue and for the time they are taking to get it resolved and forcing customers to pay additional money to cover up their fault.

My husband and I moved into our new home in Charleston SC a couple weeks ago and couldn't be happier. The pre--construction experience was awesome but even after our move in they have stopped by to check on us to be sure we are happy and continue to give us the best customer service. I am 63 and have spent my life working with clients and I know what good customer service looks like. I would highly recommend David Weekley for the quality of the home and further this team for their continued support. Job well done.

We purchased our home November/2019 in Brookshire, Texas we experienced issues and to be fair some normal. For those cosmetic issue the builder has addressed. But the main issue which we were informed not only by one of the plumbers but the warranty manager that it is not isolated to our home only, they will not resolve. We have had this Plumbing Issue since day one. With COVID-19 being ongoing since March we were not open to letting anyone in our home until late Aug. which impacted scheduling of the issue to be diagnosed. Most repairs have been completed but the main issue with our plumbing that David Weekly Builders and their warranty team now determined there is nothing more they can do, so the builders has walked away. Kind of make you feel they have determined our year warranty is up and feel they don’t have any obligation to resolve. Given we are experiencing loud water drainage in the walls anytime you flush a toilet or run the shower is unacceptable. David Weekly builders has been out on multiple occasions to try and patch this issue by tie wrapping the plumbing and adding insolation into the inner wall around the pipe’s but issue is still there. They have torn walls down and have had to re-sheet rock which was very inconveniencing. This noise occurs in common areas of the house where we entertain guest, all bathrooms and in my office where I work every day and it is quite embarrassing. 1. Master bathroom faucet continues makes a dripping\knocking sound in the walls.

Just signed a contract recently. Did a design center preview yesterday and was appalled of the low-quality "included options". The included options are cheap apartment grade. Not what I expected on a $400K plus home for starters. Very nervous about what we will end up with. Feels like a commission trap at the design center. Likely would have picked less house with better features had we known better. Scared our new home will feel like a giant apartment/Air B&B...

BUYERS BEWARE! Had to walk away because of an absolutely terrible experience with David Weekley Homes. Changing contracts after they were signed and window for changes had closed. Asked for nearly $9k for a mistake clearly made by DW team member. Cancelled appointments on our behalf and without our knowledge or consent. Refused access to our realtor to a manager or decision maker. Implied that the 1% military discount offered was a favor and we therefore owed DW. Gave us an ultimatum to pay up (for their mistake) immediately or they would sell our lot (on which we had money already down). Refused to even let us work with another sales agent (the one who had made the initial mistake and then tried to cover it proved time and again that she could not be trusted). Showed a shocking lack of customer service, flexibility, and professionalism. Wasted our time and money and left us absolutely devastated and appalled by the disrespect at every level. How a company so lacking in integrity is in business is completely beyond me. Choose a builder that you can trust, that builder is NOT David Weekley.
*UPDATE* Their local team did reach out, did nothing but waste more of our time, and encouraged us to back out so they could make more money on the lot because prices had been rising. We have now almost completed a beautiful home on an even better lot with a wonderful builder (WCI) that has shown quality work, been up front about any changes or delays, and treats us with professionalism, genuine communication, and respect. David Weekley 0 Stars, WCI 5 Stars.

Don't buy these homes. They will not fix problems, they will make problems worse than before while applying patches.

We bought what was meant to be our dream house on Nov 2019.
1.Even before we moved in, there was leakage from upstairs master bath and was fixed.
2. Someone stepped on the baseboard on the attic and there was a huge hole which they fixed.
3. After we moved in on Dec 2019, the ceiling was all patchy and had to take off work for 3 days for people to come and work on it.
4. We have more than 1000 sqft lawn but very uneven. You cannot make a step without tripping/ spraining your ankle. Currently they are working on fixing it.
5. There was leakage from upstairs guest bathroom and big mold issue and the walls ripping off downstairs. After multiple emails and call and photos, they are working on it now.
6. The front landscaping is zero. Would have been better off if they had not done anything. When questioned the closing team said everything will come when summer starts. But when I ask now they say it is not part of warranty.
Our dream house has become the worst nightmare and I have to live with it everyday

Premier builder is not the choice of words i would choose to describe DW. I absolutely regret purchasing a new David Weekley home, "you get what you pay for" rings true with them. David Weekley hires the lowest bid and lowest skill contractors, the work that is produced by some of these contractors is equivalent to someones first do it yourself project. There is absolutely ZERO communication between David Weekley and the subs they hire, i have taken off almost a total of 30 days from work over the course of the last 2 years waiting for subs to arrive to complete warranty work only to no show, or reschedule because the scope of work was not properly explained and they were no equipped to handle it or only to leave with a even worse job. DW produces some of the worst build quality i have ever seen in a new construction home to list a few of the issues that David Weekley considers "normal" in my home.
- Front door/frame not straight
- Tile in the master bath has variances in grout ranging from 1/16th of a inch up to a inch thick, David Weekleys explanation is "the wall isn't straight". You would think one would have relatively straight walls in a brand new home right? Or if the drywall/wood is bad that it would be discarded during the build process. Not with David Weekley
- I have been dealing with a leaking shower door for almost 2 years, every single time they send out someone to "repair" the shower all they do is apply silicone around the shower door and leave, this has happened 4x times, i have specifically asked that someone actually troubleshoot the issue instead of blindly applying silicone this has not happened.
- Front/Back lawns are not graded properly and water sits for days preventing grass from growing in some spots, nor is the ground properly leveled, you'll roll an ankle just walking through one of the lawns.
- When the water heater engages i can hear the pipes moving in the wall 2 rooms away...no fix, their response is "its normal".
- 18 months into home ownership i deiced to rip out the carpet and install laminate, the floor is so uneven its comical, with variances as high as 1 inch. Builder response is "its impossible to have a perfectly level floor". I know houses 30 years old with more levels floors....
-Fit and finish is rough, during closing everything looks nice but 90 days into it once the paint and cauckling shrinks the quality of material and overall touch up is disgusting. Some of the material looks like it came from a discard pile.
- DW cannot control or communicate with their subs at a basic level, we would speak with a DW rep about one item and come to an agreement, a sub would come out and quite literally preform the opposite of what we talked about, this is actually the standard vs the exception. We have not had 1 Spencerian where a contractor came out and properly completed warranty work without having to come back another 2-3 times.

Wow where to begin. All I can say is we our SHOCKED. Me and my wife purchased what we wanted to be our new life in Arizona. We have spent thousands already since we were going to be relocating from Chicago. We even relocated our business which is food trucks we were all in. Then one day the pandemic hit there is no work for our trucks in Arizona at all or even Chicago we have been hit hard financially. The next thing that happened was our lender called us and said due to the Coronavirus pandemic the loan program we pre qualified for was removed we were using the income from our business to verify income. Also even if the loan program wasn't removed the income was zero now so don't thjnk it would have mattered. We let David Weekly know ASAP since there was still two months before our house would be finished so they could begin to market it to sell. We bought the largest lot in the development and picked the most neutral beautiful white cabinets and upgrades the house is perfect. Let me add the development is also sold out so in my past that means the house has already even went up in value. It is in Blaclstone Country club which is also perfect there would be no problem selling this as a spec home they sold the model the week it went up ans we decorated this one based on that. So after informing our sales rep Karen and building GM Mike of our situation and hardship since they have $50,000 of our earnest money they sent a letter and a phone message stating oh sorry you won't be closing on your home but we CANNOT REFUND YOUR $50,000 they wanted us to sign a paper releasing the funds to them. We have retained an attorney now who feels very strongly about them refunding our hard earn money. Any family in the world now with 5 children know how hard it is wothout work and for a company as large as FAVID WEEKLY to try to cheat a family out of there money is very unfair in a time when the United States need to come together and support each other. I would understand if the house was lived in or used in some way or we requested pink cabinets and yellow flooring but that not the case and David Weekly has shown ZERO SYMPATHY FOR WHAT PEOPLE ARE GOING THRU ZERO I hope everyone remebers the good companies wjen this is over and blesses them with there business and not these others who have taken advantage durring these times AWFUL BEHAVIOR ON THE WHOLE COMPANIES PART THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED. ON another hand SHASTA POOLS is AMAZING they returned our money and deposit in one minute when we asked and was also shocked to hear of a builder trying to CHEAT PEOPLE OUT OF THERE MONEY DURRING CORONVIRUS I THINK THE COURT SYSTEM WILL AGREE. I WILL UPDATE THIS AFTER WE TAKE THEM TO COURT please Spread this review to as many people as possible and we will be using every social media network to do the same

After spending over $500k for our dream home it’s been disappointment one after the other. Problems since the day we closed that have now continued after our one year warranty. We now have tiles cracking across the master bathroom which the build is claiming are normal. Flooring in the kitchen area that has recently started to warp and seems to get worse each week. Pot filler that has been bent and lose since we move in...( claim it’s normal) cracked patio that was hidden with a skim coat and has had to be replaced once. Cracking garage floors and outdoor electric outlets that trip breakers. I am not having to hire an engineer and having secondary experts come out to take a look. This house was a mistake and will only cause further heartache and disappointment in the future.
