I am taking the time to provide this review because D. Massimo and Sons Construction took thousands of dollars from us but did not complete the project. Do not work with D. Massimo and Sons. He charged thousands of dollars for services that were not agreed upon or disclosed, and never gave us $4,500 of our $10,000 deposit back. We engaged D. Massimo and Sons Construction to build our home. Once we decided we planned to move forward with D. Massimo building our house, the owner pressured us into providing a $10,000 deposit to lock in his services, but ensured us and made it very clear that, since we were so early on in the process, if we decided not to or were unable to build the home, he would refund our full deposit, but he did not. We were not able to build the home because while Justin told us he was able and had the proper credentials and licenses to build our home in PA, our lender confirmed he was not able to build our home in PA, which is why we had to part ways. This had nothing to do with us, and was due to the fact that he had misrepresented that he was authorized to build the home in PA. He was not able to commit to the terms he and the arrangement that had been agreed to. Once we determined with Massimo on calls that he would not be able to build our home on our lot in PA, he mentioned multiple times that we could just part ways and he’d give us back the full deposit, which is why we were very shocked when he sent us only $5,500 of our deposit back and kept. It also took months to get even the partial deposit back from him, which we had given him from our end in just a few days after he pressured us into giving him the deposit. He provided an “invoice” for services that he did not disclose and we did not agree to, as the reason he took $4,500 from our deposit, when 1) he had told us we would get the full deposit back and 2) he basically just provided us with some quotes/figures and had a handful of calls/email exchanges – which would not be worth anywhere near that amount even if we had agreed to being charged for these minimal things. Then, after many attempts to reach him, he refused to take or answer any calls from us, then referred us to his lawyer. I am taking the time to write this because I do not want anyone else to lose money to D. Massimo and Sons Construction.

They did an amazing job on our bathroom remodel. The price was reasonable, especially compared to other quotes, and they were able to work within our budget to accomplish our goal. Overall great experience and would use them again in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about Massimo and Sons Construction. I had extensive damage to my home and Justin worked with me and my insurance company to make sure everything was covered in the repairs. He was EXTREMELY responsive (which is basically unheard of from any contractor nowadays). His team tailored their work around my schedule, and did top notch custom work. His crew was amazing and worked extremely quickly without cutting corners. They even dealt with “difficult” local inspectors, personally. I have recommended him to friends, who have all used him and been just as happy with his work.

remodeled a sunroom on my house into a 4 season room - contractor was price competitive with other contractors - work was done in a timely manner by competent professionals - communicated well with my wife and I - got what I expected - would recommend this company to everyone

Justin and his crew remodeled my kitchen and did a BEAUTIFUL job. I wanted to salvage the original custom made thick hard wood cabinets and they took their time sanding and painting them for me so they would work with our new grey/white design. The workers were all nice and considerate and included my kids in things when they were around the house taking interest in the construction. Could not say enough good things about them! They have since come back and done many projects around the house for us!
