I notice they are using several photos from the bathroom remodel they did on our home. What those photos do not reveal is the extremely shoddy work they did. Just to list a few:
1. Texture on wall; it does not match or blend in with the original.
2. Tile on floor and in bathroom; I cannot imagine someone doing a poorer job. We were told that laying tile was one of the owners expertise! The floor tiles sometimes have very wide grout between and sometimes none at all. They are very uneven, being higher and lower in spots. Grout is breaking apart and coming up.
3. The shower subway tiles, if anything are even worse. Grout very thick in spots and non-existent in other places. Same on the floor.
4. They did not replace the baseboard behind the vanity that is seen in their pictures. The one brother told us they never do. We said that when sitting in a chair just outside the bathroom you can see under the vanity and see there is no trim and we'd like them to do it, he refused.
5. When they put the niche in the shower where we put shampoo, etc., all of a sudden there was a hole in the wall in our living room right where the shower wall is against. They claimed they didn't do it! Really!? I had to fix it.
6. The sealant around the two drains in the sinks on the vanity quickly discolored and didn't look "right" from the beginning. When we had a plumber in for another reason a few months later, we ask him about them and why they looked so bad. He looked at them and said "Whoever did this did not know what they were doing; this is a very poorly done."
7. In the tub they put in, they used grout rather than sealant around the plug in it.
8. We asked for semi-gloss paint on our bathroom wall. They put a flat paint. When we pointed it out, they first claimed that "everyone" is using flat paint now. And even so, they said, it was semi-gloss. We continued to insist it wasn't, so went to his trailer to get the pain can and show us. We watch him do this. He walked right by a gallon of flat paint at the trailer door with pain drips down the sides, when clear to the back of the trailer where he found some semi-gloss paint, and brought it in to show us. That can had clearly never been opened. He lied to us, again, straight-faced. We still insisted they redo it. They did so grudgingly. When we wipe off those walls, the paint comes off.
The job was supposed to be done in six weeks, they were there off and on for 3 months. I was so glad to see them gone I paid the full final 1/3 payment. I shouldn't have done so.
