Eppright Homes and team build our home from start to finish. They helped us through the design phase and the build. They were a pleasure to work with and were very clear and transparent about budget and timeline. They provided quality craftsmanship and high standards. We are so happy with our new home. One word! Exemplary! This best describes our experience with Eppright Homes. Everything from the first introductions to the final walk through! Currently, we predominantly live in another country, so building a home from overseas can be challenging. We did our research, we investigated custom home builders in Austin, Texas. There were only a few that met our criteria. We selected Eppright and hindsight it was the BEST decision we could have made! Doug Clark (Eppright owner) is the definition of an upright and forthcoming professional. He is confident in his company, as he should be! He has made an excellent choice of successful staff and trades. They all are simply the best. Wesely Parks, Eppright’s Director of Architecture, was a delight to work with. His best trait was his focus and talent for details, alignment, and perfection. During this stage of planning, he would not rest until EVERYTHING was in absolute order, functionality, and desirability. Ashlie Gleinser, Eppright’s Director of Interior Design, is one of the most skilled and talented visionaries we have ever worked with. Her understanding of our lifestyle and taste, accompanied by her knowledge of the industry, resulted in premier results. In our experience (We have built several homes, renovated another and worked with various other talented designers); we are grateful to have worked with such a gifted professional. This success story would not have been achievable without her. Dave Gass, our Construction Manager, was (simply put), second to none! He oversaw the entire build, which extended to managing the trades to our expectations! With daily logs and constant access (day or night), we were never out of the communication train. He was always open and addressed any questions or concerns that we would have. He handled all of those and went above and beyond our expectations. He finished our home 3 months earlier than the expected date. His relationship with the trades is fantastic and they all respect him. That is a value we have been the beneficiary of. We chose Eppright largely because of the team we perceived behind the name. There were a number of concepts from our previous home that we wished to recreate in this new home, and we felt comfortable that Doug and his company could do this. We were particularly impressed with Wesley, the resident architect, and his abilities to implement ideas and changes on the fly. Once the lot and plans were finalized, the real challenges of building the house began. Eppright's on-line method of managing the build worked well for us, and considering all this was being done in the midst of a pandemic, we can only say, thank goodness for Zoom meetings. It was also helpful that our temporary home rental was very near by so that we could drop by the building site at a moment's notice. In general, the build went pretty smoothly, complicated by two things: delays in obtaining materials and in some of the chosen subcontractors inability to perform at a consistently high level. IMO, this led to too many call-backs which led to further delays. Perhaps these issues were due to the unprecedented and overheated real estate market in Austin. At the goal line, Eppright has produced a high quality, comfortable, age-in-place last home for us, and we enjoyed working with Doug and his team. Special thanks to Kent Stromberg and his unflappable ability to solve problems in a very reassuring manner.

Simply the Best! What more can you say about a company whose motto is “Build Confident.” My wife and I moved back to TX and chose the Hill Country in Lakeway/Serene Hills to build our dream home. After making the rounds, it was crystal clear that Doug Clark and his entire team were just as invested in making our dream come true as we were. We had found an experienced, authentic and caring partner to guide us along this very special journey! Doug and his Director of Architecture, Wes worked tirelessly with us to get the design and flow of the home just right – including great suggestions that we never would have thought of – and now are some of our most favorite design details in the home. 15 months later, our dream home had become a reality! Now that may seem like a long time (COVID-19 and our never ending list of changes did not help things) but through it all, communication was always clear, timely and respectful. Having never built a custom home, there was so much that we didn’t know, but the years of experience that Eppright enjoys has landed them in a place where they have a technology platform that includes your own customized dashboard for your project, and a unique phased approach to the different stages of the building process that allow for smoother decision-making. While the entire team at Eppright is amazing, 2 star performers and partners for us once our home design was landed were Nancy, the Selections Coordinator who keeps every step of your building process in check and never misses a beat -- and Dave, our Construction Manager who is a master at prioritizing the work schedule, as well as managing the various trades, craftsmen and crews it took to build our quality home. Bottom line -- we could not have picked a better custom home builder partner than Eppright Homes, and I doubt you will either!

We worked with Eppright to design and build our dream home. We have been in it for about 6 months and we love it. Designing and building a custom home can be a daunting task. Doug and his team made the design process easy as we worked through a number of iterations to get to a home design that worked for us. Once the plans were done, they gave us a guide and a timeline that told us when we needed to make the various interior choices. The vendors that they use for everything including: plumbing fixtures, appliances, cabinets, counter tops, flooring and all the hardware made it easy for us to make our final selections and stay on budget. Like any large project, there are challenges and problems that need to be solved, but you can count on the Eppright team to solve those problems with the utmost integrity. They build high quality homes and stand behind their work.

We love Doug Clark and Eppright. They delivered top us an exceptional product and were accountable and fair along the way.

We purchased our Eppright home in February 2018 and have been in the house two years as of the date of this review. We could not be more happy with the house. The home is extremely well built and we have had zero issues. This was our first time buying a newly constructed home and expected there to be a settling in period where we had to address post-construction issues. This has not been the case, however. The home was in great shape and is built like a tank. We are very satisfied with our home. Doug and the rest of the team are a delight to work with during construction.

I had concerns about building based on prior experiences but this turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. Done within two months of the original scheduled date and within 2% of the original budget, the whole process was smooth and enjoyable. Doug and company are really nice, very patient and were always able to quickly find good solutions to issue that cropped up. They captured the old world feel we were after beautifully. The materials they were able to source and their skilled subs exceeded expectations. Our project managers were responsive and stayed close with us past the end of the project. The whole project just turned out to be a lot of fun.

Amazing team! Amazing home! Great finish outs and attention to detail. Walked in the door and immediately fell in love with the space. Doug and his team were fantastic during the process and continue to be present and supportive post closing. Strongly recommend them to anyone!

The entire team at Eppright Homes was very professional and extremely helpful throughout the design, build and finish processes. The subs that they referred us to for our finish details were all used to working with the team which made our job more pleasant. Amounts and measurements were already in the hands of the suppliers when we went to pick our appliances, cabinets, tiles, etc. The entire process was very positive! Having lived here a year now, we are still in love with the quality and design of our new home in Serene Hills.

The team at Eppright is one of the best in Austin. They remained in close contact with the clients throughout construction and after completion. They paid close attention to the little architectural details that make a big difference in design aesthetic and fit and finish quality. They offered opinions on how to value engineer the budget when needed and offered expert opinions on trades and options throughout the construction process. I would definitely work with them again.
