We hired Don to build a retaining wall and dock he is a nice guy and he and his crew did a great job. Don makes sure everything is built with a high standard and the customer is satisfied he is a man of his word and trustworthy. He was great at answering all my questions during the construction and some great ideas for the project. We are looking forward to many years of enjoyment with our new dock thanks to him! We purchased raw land (107 ac) in Yantis and contracted Freeman Construction to build our weekend home and my wife, Leslie and I could not be happier. Donald Freeman was recommended to me by a friend that added on to his house. I contacted Mr. Freeman and explained that I wanted to completely remodel my house that I purchased. Mr. Freeman meet me on site and we went over every detail. Me and my wife picked out all of the materials, counter tops, metal roof, hardwood floors, appliances etc... At this point I was looking to put trust in a man and his company to tear out all the brick, flooring, roof, bathrooms, kitchen and adding on a large porch. The list goes on... After talking to several other construction companies before contacting Mr. Freeman I was discouraged and felt that I would have to slowly do most all of this work myself, subcontracting and piecing it together like I have had to do before. Working with Mr. Donald Freeman was nothing but a pleasure. At the very beginning to the end of the project, Donald was very up front about the whole process, communications were wonderful. I must say we he meet our goal and visions right on target. The house feels perfect to our family with no issues. Just what I wanted. I highly recommend Donald Freeman and his crew. Freeman Construction has executed several high quality projects at our home on Lake Fork. Don Freeman is a pleasure to work with, is always responsive, and does excellent work across a wide variety of disciplines. In the past 18 months, we have used Freeman to renovate our boat house/dock, construct and stain a large wood deck attached to our home, build a stone pathway, as well as other smaller projects. Don Freeman has done many projects for me including a new dock, man room, add on garage, deck and numerous small projects. He has been professional, timely, and on cost. It is very difficult to find reliable, professional builder/carpenters in East Texas (no codes). My experience is every Tom, Dick, and Harry is a professional fishing guide or carpenter in East Texas. Many claim to be both. I have no reservation in recommending Don Freeman.

Bad deal from the very beginning. We would never hire again or reccomend to anyone. Always check reputations on file, view work first hand and get REAL references before hiring any contractor. Left job without completing projects, shoddy work, no final bill with line item cost. Refuses to come and finish work already paid for. Never EVER again. Good news... we now have a great contractor who we have faith in.

As young first time home building couple we were very cautious of our new home. Freeman construction was one of several builders that we spoke with. We knew right away that they were who we wanted to build our home. They made us feel very comfortable, and explained everything thing through out the process. Upfront with everything, made the build smooth. The house came out perfect and in a very timely matter. They didn't build a house but they built our home which we will grow in. Freeman Construction has done several related projects for me over the past four years totaling well over $200k. The company is owned by Donald Freeman, who has always been up front with me with his estimates and time required to complete each project. The last project completed in 2013 was a two-story garage/apartment totaling ~$80k. I could not have been more pleased in the quality of construction and overall costs.
