Gold Leaf Ventures/Construction

My husband and I purchased a house built by Gold Leaf Ventures while they were about halfway through the building process. Almost 2 years later, the house is great, and we are very happy as new home owners. However, for a company that states they are "custom home builders," a few things were done carelessly that would have been done more meticulously if it had to be market ready. The light fixtures are cheap and not tasteful, the microwave was placed over the stove like an apartment (with no vent hood like their other properties), and no crown molding was put in the bedrooms. The recess lighting is substantial, which is good since natural light is at a minimum. Painting was done quickly, sloppily, and had to be re-done on request and delayed our closing. However, aside from all those small things, they were willing to work with my requests for an outdoor shed, a fireplace, and gas appliances - although I don't know why anyone would put electric stove tops in new homes. I believe if I had outright requested a few things they would have been done, but instead they tried to get away with not spending more money since they already had us as buyers.
